DV Mel not work?
I try blocked update. Unfortunately, a message pops up saying that the network has no internet. The installation cannot be completed without connecting to another network. I am again offered the option to connect to the network.
No sorry i’m happy with 21.3 stable so i didn’t test other build,
What do you suggest for picture quality (remember that i’m on atv 14) stay with ng or upgrade to ne/no?
ask @Baloo in homatics telegram group…he says that with adguard you can block update and everything works well
I trying A14 and CE NG stable 21.3. On DV movies playing only black screen. Wrong Dovi.ko ? In settings DV Active.
I wrote an telegram Homatics. Adguard is not work.
Edit: I try another Dovi.ko. now is DV run.
Good to know things are working out for you. I kept the dovi.ko file also from the time I first installed CE NG, together with a full CE usb image backup. I learned from custom android roms that keeping a backup of what you like may be handy one day

Did you able to find a way to quickly recover all the settings after making a clean install of coreelec?
not yet, I thought if it was possible to display all settings through web interface, we could simply make screenshots of the settings, and then recreate them manually on the clean install. But I never got around to connecting to web interface with anything else then Kore, on android.
The one time I started from scratch with a clean install, I just made a video of going through all settings pages on my tv, with the old installation running..
I was forced uodate to A14 from my super A12 build. I didn’t use CE for a while now, but it looks its time again.
So I am now on A14 v.4576.
Can I somehow run a CE version with this? If yes, which one? I tried NG latest, doesn’t boot into CE just A14 starts.
DV support would be really nice to have (I copied the do file to root of USB drive, but I can’t boot into CE at all).
Edit: changed USB port and booted.

today I received my Homatics Box R 4K Plus where I tried branch NE (bootloop), NG (white screen) and finally NO Nightly (boots).
OOBE shows Dolby Vision Kerrnel module not supported, please update to minimum 5.15.137
But my Kernel is 5.15.153 already (no new updates).
Is there anything I can do?
Is there anything I can help you with for developing? (IT admin here).

The NE and NO and the NG, all works fine too. No boot issue.
But I tryed just some months earlier the NO, cos it’s alpha.
So, when you correct install the CE, all version need working..
Both NO 22.0 nightlies and NG 21.3 stable should work fine with the latest ATV14 installed, at least it does does for me.
You need to copy a dovi.ko file to the root of your USB for Dolby Vision.
For NO this one: dovi.ko (429.9 KB)
For NG this one (for full FEL): dovi.ko (1.2 MB)

Your answers made me feel positive, and I created two more sticks with NG and NE. Once again, boot loop and white screen. However, NO works and also fixes the splash screen error with the new Kovi (Thank you!). Unfortunately, that version does not support 3D MVC (which I still use on the projector) and, as far as I know, Dolby FEL neither. Therefore, it is unfortunate that NG does not boot. But well. Perhaps a different hardware revision or something else?
It must work as many other users too. Something not right with your installation. How much time waited to first boot the NG? Sometimes need more time.
Tryed boot from other usb port? When not, then try.

Perhaps you had already running Android 11/12 and later updated to ATV14 and the bootloader was already open differently, while mine was brand new out of the box, or the hardware revision has changed? I’ve already tried a different stick, and I can again try something other than Balena Etcher, but it also does a verify at the end so I don’t have much hope and thought that maybe it’s because of kernel 4.19, which can no longer be booted properly from my picky 5.15.153 one? Do you also have that specific kernel version?
Okay, to answer to myself, I downgraded to ATV 12 and then got everything rrunning. Thank you so far!

Worked like a charrm! Thank you! Downgraded my newly shipped ATV14 Box to ATV12 and got CE NG branch running which wasn’t booting before!

running latest Android 14 with NG without issues, you will probably get forced update to Android 14 if you don’t block it from getting upgraded.
I have blocked it by DNS in Pi-Hole by flashing the image over and over until I got rid of the “ATV 14” message. But unfortunatly I can’t quit OOBE because its saying “No Internet connection” in the end and I haven’t found a combination with entering ATV12 but not getting the update message.
I could share the FQDNs but at the moment it’s not useful I think.
It’s possible the OTA ATV14 update will get your box into a working state in NG but no guarantees 
Would you be so kind and explain how and where to set the preferences to not start with DV enabled on Homatics 4K Box? I couldn’t find the setting in ATV14. My TV is old Panasonic plasma, so DV is not supported anyway.
I have the same issue with booting to white screen with every boot after the initial successful “first boot” through “Reboot to Coreelec” in Android.
One of the kids updated the box and broke the CE.
