Hello everyone, VIM4 now works perfectly under CE / Kodi 21. After 1 year, HD sound (Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD, DTS-X, etc.) works. Between the compactness, the graphics performance, and the ergonomics offered by Oowow, we have here a superb low-consumption multimedia box. Is the implication of this being linked here that Amlogic-no/ce-21 includes the audio fixes?

Where are the settings for controlling fan of VIM4? In the NE buildās there was such a setting in the CoreELEC Configuration Addon. Now in the latest nightly NO build i canāt see it. It will be better if a user can specify at which temperature the fan will activate (not hardcoded 50 degrees only).

Actually there is only one small problem left on the stereo audios, on which the sound generates a crackle. But Khadas seems to be working on it. Otherwise, everything else works perfectly.
Hi, people, it is time to change my failing hp chromium box and I did some research and found out about coreelec ( was using libreelec) and Khadas VIM4.
But it seems that there is not a lot of love for this one.
Why is this?
Thereās no problems Iām aware of running CE-NO on the VIM4. The VIM4 isnāt Dolby Vision certified, that and the price are I think the major reasons that this board doesnāt get more love.
The A311D2 competes with the S928X, and there are a number of cheaper DV-licensed S928X devices.
A311D2 - 4xA73 + 4xA53 cores
S928X - 1xA76 + 4x A55 cores
CE has also been overtaken by users that canāt live in a world without DV FEL playback, which is only supported on older CE-NG by older SOCs like the S922X (and S905X4). So the Ugoos AM6+ is a favorite.

Seems like reboots when accessing to emmc..

The main problem is that after HBR audio passthrough was fixed, LPCM now exhibits constant clicking/popping, very evident when trying to play music.
IĀ“m currently thinking of getting a Vim4ā¦ So this LPCM problem is still an issue?
Still an issue, also no DV if you care about that. Would probably get a different device if I was going to purchase something new.
