but i set “unlock bootloader” in dev mode

On all devices made by sdmc ODM it is written like that.
DV works. Kodi android, CE-NE, will be the same as homatics Box R 4k plus… The only difference is that NE will limit the ethernet port to 100M as known.

you will not have DV if on android you have DV turned off.

Hey guys, what is your opinion about the remote and BT? The remote gets BT paired in ATV on first boot and it can be used in Coreelec as IR remote, Does it bring any benefit to pair it in CE over BT too? Does this delete the pairing in ATV?
Not possible to have the remote BT paired in both ATV and CE. ATV uses Bluedroid, Linux uses Bluez. Maybe possible with a remote that is able to make multiple independent pairings, but none of the ATV boxes ship with such a remote.

Trying to understand the need for the custom firmware here. Couldn’t you just load CE on a SD card with the original firmware? Or is this just for those wanting to dual boot Android and CE?

Hi, to get sub titles in your language. Play the video and at the bottom right of the screen you will see a settings cog wheel. press and you will see options to enable sub titles (if not already running) select auto translate and the select your language. Good luck

besides wish for dual booting my concern was accidentally booting into atv and updating it, locking the bootloader and prevent using of CE. I´ve read some news android boxes ding such thing even in standby.

If you don’t care about Android then their are better boxes out their for not much more that is guaranteed support from CoreELEC. I’d rather buy an AM6B+ that the G1 even though you’ll be looking at like $130 compared to $60
or wait to see if we can get FEL on s928x chipset and get an X96 X10, currently going for $114 pre tax that will absolutely smoke the G1 in performance and have a 10 year support with CoreELEC and who knows what that box can do. Look at the S922X chipset and the improvements that are found even after 6 years.
The G1 is probably the best box you can get right now if you want android though
