When using Netflix app in Android the G1 presents itself and is listed in NF devices as “Motorola Set-top Box” 
Just for information kinhank just send password to me. I will try to debug USB with this and boot on my sdcard with coreelec ng. I will tell you résultats if work or not again.

I think they just don’t want to bother with it. I have (I’m almost certain) the same Google version as those here for which the coreelec boot works…
Well without too many surprises even with the password for the developer options it is impossible to start on coreelec. I also tried to install the custom FW but impossible. So I’m going to send it back and hope to get an unlockable model in return.
Ultimately wouldn’t it have been better for me to take a box Homatics box R 4K Plus ?
Currently which box is not locked and allows both the installation of Coreelec + Android TV L1 with 4K

You have Android 12… this box was updated … did you plug in when you got it from AE before to try CE or hungphutho FW update ? This is what this look like…
When I received it I immediately tried to boot it on Coreelec with my SD card but impossible.
As indicated here I arrived on this screen:
In my opinion when you plugged in to try CE it got updated instead… We have Android 11… For the future DO NO TRY ANYTHING just put hungphtho inside straight direct the box will moan like stormy LOL
OK thanks for the recommendations I will try that with the next one. I have two more boxes due to arrive so I hope at least one of the two is not locked.

Im pretty sure janolino is right I got mine last week in same time of you and this is what I did exactly straight to hungphutho FW immediately and it was ok
I think Kinhank put the update ready as you plug in because 99,99% people are happy to get updated in their hands… (I dont know for stormy lol)
OK so even without having internet the update is ready to be installed as soon as the device is turned on… I suppose no possibility of downgrading to a lower version afterwards?
Correct, ne way to downgrade.
And it’s possible that the new Android 12 is already flashed on the box, but it’s not installed yet, because the box was not booted. In this state it will accept new flash from @hungphutho to allow boot from uSD/USB.

Well look This box is SOLD with Android 11 EVERYWHERE and NOT ANDROID 12…
Their update come immediately when you plug in this is what I’m pretty sure

How do you plan to check the box without booting it?
