Similar devices, such as Dune HD Homatics, support the profile7 on Android through the special Dune application, ( Dune HD Media Center App) which is an application based on Linux, so I think it is not impossible for the CoreELEC.
Dolby Vision profile 7 FEL
Dune HD media center supports direct playback of Dolby Vision profile 7 FEL double-track and double-layer files. This is the most advanced Dolby Vision format. Dune HD media center plays video in this format using both tracks/layers. The important Dolby Vision information from the second track/layer (Dolby Vision RPU metadata) is transmitted to TV together with video data from the first track/layer. The passed video data uses 10-bit color depth - the maximum color depth supported by OLED-panels in OLED TVs, i.e. this fully uses the capabilities of OLED TVs. Combined with the full use of DolbyVision metadata this gives an excellent Dolby Vision picture on the TV screen.
Linux-based Dune HD OS
Dune HD media center runs a Linux-based Dune HD OS in a special virtual container. This Linux-based OS helps to ensure stable operation and smooth media playback.
I’ve tried to use inject_bl301 tool to configure remote controller to switch on the device but it failed with the message:
Looks like device FIP is encrypted! Error - exit!
Is there an other method to control power on/off using the factory remote?
In Android the G10 is paired at setup as bluetooth accessory
And i can add soundbar/ bluetooth speakers
All is good.
In CoreELEC i do not think there is dual pairing
Multiple devices paired.
I could not get it to work
Was conflict with speakers
I did test G10 in CoreELEC paired as controller
Some functions were working
BUT the most important function (imo)
In centre of D-Pad the ok/select/enter button does not work.
For these 2 reasons iam staying with Homatics Dune
ir remote config Portisch/Frodo built
