Latest nightly - Strange video slowdowns?

1585324197 shows a quick return to the slow motion kind of slowdown that does not auto correct.

Upon stopping and starting, audio and video would also often be out of sync.

It also happens most with X265 material.

Ok, next round:
Please tell me which one of these images have the same ā€œimprovementā€ like 1585304580

Yes, I have the same problem.

oh god what one to choose im still on 580, dont want to touch it now.

Unfortunately we couldnā€™t repeat this issue on our boxesā€¦ So you are(who can repeat) the only hope who could test and find solution

Well that makes no sense, why would it do it on one box and not another, thats ridiculous. Im not the only one with a N2 obviously.

Totally confused.

I have two, no issues, never. Also no issues with other devices.

@roden @Compent Does the affected video(s) always have slowdown/stutter in the same place? Post a short sample here for others to test? I have N2 I can test.

Itā€™s randomā€¦ and only some users have it.
And with same samples we couldnā€™t repeat it neither on N2 nor on other box.

No its not always in the same place, as said completely random, however the last 580 image is alot better for me, will get around to testing the others. If you look in my original thread i posted a video of it happeningā€¦

CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-devel-1585382791

Issue occurred after about 90 minutes, as originally reported as slowdown, no auto correct.
Also had to adjust audio offset, delay by 0.250s.

CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-devel-1585383247

Issue occurred after about 15 minutes, as originally reported as slowdown, no auto correct.
Video/audio sync perfect.

CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-devel-1585384025

Issue occurred after about 3 minutes, as originally reported as slowdown, auto corrected after about 3 seconds.
Video/audio sync perfect.
Still using to see if it re-occurs.

Note that OTA TV is not adversely affected at all (video or audio) using nightlies or test images.

Same with 791.

I am testing 247 which as yet is ok ish, seems to be a bit of slowdown on start, but not during yet.

Not got to 025 yet.

I have noticed my passthrough has stopped working on the first 2 though ?

And agree, OTA TV is perfect.

CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-devel-1585384025 update.

There were several further instances of slowdown with no auto correct and audio/video out of sync, even after stopping and starting playback.

Iā€™m a couple of hours into testing tonights nightly and touch wood/fingers crossed, all is well so far.

Update: 4 hours and flawless so far.

7 hours and not a hiccup, so it would seem highly likely to be resolved.

Thanks team for the perseverance and efforts to get things working despite not being able to recreate the same conditions.

Cool, i will also test now and confirm. Out of curiosity was was the issue?

I guess this fixed it -
https://github.com/CoreELEC/linux-amlogic/commit/fd6cad3cbdc09c3e2dc958577ed42948f4f49beb

What does that mean in english for us bozos

They look as though they are for the next nightly.

Indeedā€¦ Then I donā€™t see what could have fixed the issue. Is it really fixed?

not yetā€¦
