Looking for users with no working WiFi or BT

That is for USB not SDIO.

This one here is apparently SDIO

Have a Bluetooth USB dongle (ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio) that’s shows as “No Bluetooth adapter found” on the CoreELEC interface. Using 9.2.2 build on Odroid N2. Did the lsusb on the device, but not sure which info to pull out.

A95X F3 Air here, S905X3 processor. Wifi works, BT does not.

@jacoghi It’s been reported before, I haven’t been able to implement the driver for MT7668 yet, I may be able to if someone is willing to enable remote login to their device for me to try a few things.

As mentioned in this post (RTL8814AU chipset support) I have an Aukey AC1750 wifi dongle (RTL8814AU chipset), worked on ODROID-C2, does not work on ODROID-N2 with latest nightly (Apr 23). Output of lsmod|paste from the (working) C2 is here: http://ix.io/2jrb

Output of lsusb from the (non-working N2) is:

Mini m8s, s905 box. Working wifi but no bluetooth.

It is an old box but just pulled it from a drawer and installed CoreElec.

@Vermillion please try the nightly, it should be working in that.

I too have a mini m8s s905 and tried the last night 23042020 and BT not working (rtl8723)

Yes i can also confirm BT is not working in the nightly for the mini m8s.

I have a theoretical question. If we get the bluetooth driver for mtk7668 to work will we need to upgrade to a nightly build or can we stay on the current stable build and just install the new driver?

Is that even possible or does the os need to be recompiled?

What about the dtb file?

@pedr0 @Vermillion or anyone else with a device with either RTL8723BS or MT7668 with BT not working… if you are able to setup remote access (port 22 TCP) then I can look into the issues further, I don’t have physical access to a device with either chip so I’m limited in what I can do.

@greatCornholio the dtb is unrelated, the OS needs to be rebuilt.

If possable i would rather run the commands and post the outputs.

You are welcome to access my A95X Max (MT7668) but apart from using local SSH with port 22 i don’t know what else you will need to be setup to enable remote connectivity.

On your router you have to forward the port 22 to your box or just make a DMZ to it.

Thanks.

So when it comes to specifying internal and external start and end points, do I enter 22 in all 4 fields and what protocol should I use (TCP, UDP or TCP/UDP)?

The only DMZ I am familiar with is the one in Korea.

google port forwarding for your particular network router. It should only need TCP, but it won’t hurt anything to choose TCP/UDP.

@Vermillion if possible I would like to fix it but I do not want to waste hours of my time sending commands via PM and waiting for a response before issuing the next command, I’m not interested in your data.

@Compent yes that is exactly all you need to do, enter the IP for the box and internal/external both 22 TCP and then send me a PM with your IP and SSH password if you have changed it.

All done and yours when you want it.
