WiFi module used in X96 Max+ and X96 Air is Realtek RTL8188FTV. I made pull request on GitHub to be merged so it’s included in future builds.

If anyone wants to try for themselves, I made CE build today and it’s available for download here.

Hello,
This don’t work for my X96 Max Plus Q2.

I don’t know, if this fits here, but I have a non working BT-dongle on N2:

You will be pleased to know that there is a way to enable it as discussed here.

Whether both the a and b varieties can be enabled within 1 build I do not know but there is at least a way of doing it.

I’m looking forward to an official ng-build for the N2 where the rtl8761b works

Got a X96 MAX plus Q2. No working WiFi or BT with sm1_s905x3_4g_1gbit. I asked the vendor and it seems like the Q2 version uses a different wifi chip.

X96 MAX plus Q2 users:

Maybe it’s possible for one user to open the device and take pictures of the Wifi SoC/ACB?

With todays nightly (04-07) my asus wifi dongle is recognized, but i cant configure the network settings (only wired option available in CE settings).
Is it possible to use this type dongle now or make it work somehow?
Device is Odroid N2, C4.

This is a X96 MAX plus Q2, @Portisch.
There is a 1000Mb Ethernet RTL8211F, a Cdtech 4761743 radio module and two antennas.

Dear X96 MAX plus Q2 users. Please post the output of lsmod.

Hello!

I also have such a device (X96 Max+ “Q2”)

本来9.2.7是可以用蓝牙的,还连接了蓝牙音箱。但是CoreELEC不支持红外遥控,于是我按网上找到资料在ssh中执行了以下命令:
systemctl stop kodi
systemctl stop eventlircd
ir-keytable -a /storage/.config/rc_maps.cfg -s rc0
systemctl start eventlircd
systemctl start kodi
然后蓝牙就不能找到设备了,服务里面能够启用蓝牙。烦请解决,谢谢

WiFi and bluetooth don’t work for me either. X96 MAX plus 4+64 (Q2?)

I have here a test image for this WiFi device. It’s a image including QCA6174 driver. It’s untested, but maybe can work already.

Please keep in mind it’s a CoreELEC-19-Matrix update!!
So when using 9.2 please update first to a fresh clean 19.1-Matrix_rc2!

First test:
CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-19.1-Matrix_devel_20210411081809.tar

If the new image is booted please post debug logs by:

dmesg | paste

and

journalctl -u qca-firmware-aml | paste
