Looking for users with no working WiFi or BT

I’m sorry I missed your request because I haven’t visited the forum for days. I just saw (maybe yesterday) that the Wi-Fi started working.
dmesg from the latest version: 20230113

Thanks for your help in solving the issue.

I can connect and pair some BT remotes to the Beelink GT King II but I can’t get them to function. They don’t show with cat /proc/bus/input/devices (but they do in Android)

Looking at the journal I do get this error

I tried Ugoos A7 control in GT King II and worked

My original remote didn’t work at all, they sent a new one from China and it seems to only work in IR mode, since I can’t start it pairing, even in Android (not flashing red). I don’t like the stock remote anyway, which is why I like to see one of my preferred BT remotes working.

Hi, @Portisch Tanix w2 (s905w2): is it normal for Wi-Fi networks to appear duplicated? On the other hand, there is no Bluetooth interface, but in Android it was.

dmesg: http://ix.io/4lMd

Hello @Portisch , something about this?

no time for such non supported devices…
BT is still not working as the software is not trivial to setup

Oh, okay. Sorry, I thought s905w2 devices were supported on Coreelec NE.

hi community & dev team,

my problem is: Unisoc UWE5621DS wifi/bluetooth not work in 19.5 and 20.0

i have a box of UNT413A which has basically the same h/w specs with E900V22C, with a wifi/bluetooth of UNISOC UWE5621DS chip.

i saw its support from 19.5 Added Wifi driver Unisoc UWE5621.

i tried both CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-20.0-Nexus-Generic.img.gz and CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-19.5-Matrix-Generic.img.gz, but both failed to find the chip.

i used dmesg | grep uni/soc/5621/uwe (one for each command), and its output was empty (found nothing).

i used dmesg -c && cd /usr/lib/modules/4.9.269/uwe5631-aml/ && insmod ./sprdbt_tty.ko/sprdwl_ng.ko/uwe5621_bsp_sdio.ko. it still found nothing with ifconfig, no new network interface.

i tried https://github.com/KryptonLee/e900v22c-CoreELEC with the image CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-19.5-Matrix_rc3-E900V22C-2022.12.17.img.gz, and wifi/bluetooth worked.

but i’d like to use the official image so as to keep pace with the up2date features and fixes.

and, i used g12a_s905x2_2g.dtbdtb.img for official images, and did not copy/rename the dtb file for KryptonLee’s build because his readme says the correct dtb.img is ready to use.

do hope someone can help to solve this problem.

many thanks!

S905w2 is supported in the NE.
Tanix and other junk Chinese boxes are not supported…

A great entry, welcome. Could you tell me which tvbox, with s905w2, would be compatible?

Instead of wasting time and money on a weak Chinese android box
I suggest you buy an officially supported device
You will find a list at the bottom of the page:

Hi,

I have some issues with the WiFi:
I have wlan0 and p2p0 for the same access point.
Sometimes I loose the wlan0.

The Kodi 20-ne is installed

In my X96Max Plus (T version) with AP6330 I do not use wifi although it seems to work, but I would like to use bluoetooth to connect to headphones.
It turns out to be unusable, a few times I was able to pair up the headphones but after a few seconds the audio starts to go off.
Many times it is difficult to even make the pairing, and headphones with a regular Android smartphone works perfectly.

CE v19.5 Matrix

Try again with clean CE-20, CE-19 is EOSD.

Tried now, same issue. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Your problem is buying cheap hardware without knowing anything about the inside of the device.
So your chip maybe need a newer firmware, nobody knows. When it’s working in Android maybe a dmesg log of Android will help. But don’t bet to much on this get solved…

On being cheap for sure, but it works superbly on everything else with CoreELEC, only the bluetooth here gives poblems.
Cheap or not it is always a question of drivers and firmware, since just with Android the same headset works fine.
I will try a bluetooth usb adapter.

I have an X98mini box on Android, wifi and LAN work perfectly, on CE wifi does not work and LAN is very bad.
