You have right, I feel stupid … I forgot for that simple thing.
But anyway, 100 Mbps ethernet has more bandwidht (real speed) than 60 Mbps, what I measured, am I right?

It could be better but that’s not always the case. If you are familiar with SSH and iperf3 you can run some tests in your network to see if you can get more from ethernet. In this kind of TV boxes you never know the quality of the components.

I recently got the N5 and was thinking of using it as standalone player using an external drive. I noticed that when you shut it down, the USB ports still have power which in turn keeps the external drive powered and running. I have a Mecool and if I shut it down, the usb ports are shut off also.

Is there a shut off command I can run at shutdown to turn power off the usb ports when I shut the N5 off? Or it’s just a setting I missed in coreelec?

Seems to be something they added in 9.2.0 for ODROID N2:

added ability to turn on/off 5v power during power-off/sleep on ODROID-N2

This depends on the vendor uboot, and how it’s configured to handle USB when the device is shut down/put into standby. Not much we can do about that, as the N2 is running a custom bootloader, it was possible for us to add this capability to it.

Hello guys, can you help me with this 2 problems please?
1. SSH problem - I have two same N5 boxes, but on one of them is not working SSH. In GUI is SSH turned on, but if I want connect to the box via Putty, I get error - connection refused. The both boxes was connected to the same network, so I assume, that problem is in the box. BTW, I remember, that during first installation of CoreELEC and during first setup wizard was not possible to turn on SSH. When I pushed the button to turn on SSH after that SSH button get back to OFF position, therefore I reinstall CoreELEC. Now SSH is on, but it is not working. Is there any change to restart or manually turn ON SSH from the box?
2. 4K videos (h264) - I have problem with playing videos with codec h264, video is stuttering. I have no problem with 4K videos h265, or HDR 4K h265 videos. I have no problem with network (buffering), but I thing, that problem is in HW decoding (h264).

I have setup everything by default, now I am running on CoreELEC 9.2.1.

I have a problem with my MAGICSEE N5 2.4GHz version, the bluetooth doesn’t work. I ran this commands:

I think that the drivers is not present in the 9.2.2 release. I tried to connect an external USB bluetooth dongle but doesn’t work either.

@jhortwo you have to cycle Bluetooth off and on and kill all other instances before running hciattach on a running system.

killall -9 hciattach

Hello, I have few minor problems with playing some videos with Magicsee N5 (coreelec stable 9.2.1 /9.2.2), but no issues during playing in internal player Samsung TV 65Q70R. So I suppose, that video files are ok, if Samsung TV has no problem with playing it.
If you need debug log, just tell me and I will log it.
Video files was played from external HDD connected through the usb to the N5 box.

4.General problem during playing any video - If I will try play some video during playing some other video (without stoping the first video), the whole kodi will stuck and only hard reset (plug off) will help.

If those problems are some hardware (performance) issue, then I have no problem to buy better tv box. Otherwise I will be thankfull for some help.

I owned a magicsee N5 905x box and it’s a low end device. Don’t expect too much from it. But those are too many problems. Did you try a fresh install?

Not yet. Everything works fine with this box . During 1 year of using this box I found only those issues on that video files. Do you thing, that fresh install should help?
BTW, I have coreelec installed on eMMC, so what is the fastest way to do fresh install of coreelec?

EDIT 1:
I assume, that the best way how to do fresh install is the standard way via SD card and then transfer to emmc/nand memory of the box. But one thing is for me not clear. During transfer coreelec from sd card to emmc will the files on emmc remain? If yes, how I can delete / format whole emmc before transfering fresh coreelec from sd card? Can I do this?
Or is there any wiser way how to do fresh install?

I’m not sure if there is a Qualcomm chipset but I pluged a USB Bluettoth Dongle. Without the dongle the output is:

That command is for Qualcomm chipsets ONLY, the clue is in qca, you should not be entering commands that you don’t know.

Enter the following and paste the output please.

udevadm info /sys/bus/sdio/devices/*

In CoreELEC settings, you need to untick “Disable GUI scaling” and reboot.
It’s not a Magicsee N5 problem.

Unfortunately, I do not have such option under the Coreelec settings - see photo

I also looked into main Coreelec settings, but I am missing this option.

Ah this is not needed on boxes running the 3.14 kernel builds.
In either case, it’s a hardware limitation when the GUI is rendered at 4k@30<. On 3.14 kernel GUI is always rendered at up to 1080P, so I don’t know what’s going on with your device.

I also want to try fresh install of coreelec, but can I delete everything from emc, what I can see in file manager in kodi? Or how can I delete everything from whole tv box N5?
