Try adding dovi.ko from 5.4.210 kernel to storage partition.
Thanks to everyone for the 64 bit version of said kernel module.
The message Android Dolby Vision kernel module is not compatible
has gone now.
Hi how did you get dolby vision to work on x4q extra I own this little box could you help be solve problem please 1 where do I get dovi file and put it
You have the dovi.ko file in the link above. Download and place it in /storage/
Thanks for the link is that placed in storage on USB or Android Storage?
In CEās storage partition. You can use winscp or something like that
All working thanks for your help
Glad to hear! Enjoy!
Please re-upload dovi.ko 5.4.210 . Thank you very much
Iām having the same āmissing partition āsuperā on eMMCā problem with a brand new X4Q Pro that came with firmware 1.1.9. I donāt know how to downgrade, because they only provide images requiring a very special usb 3.0 type a to type a crossover cable, which donāt exist in any stores around here. (Or I assume itās a usb 3 MA-MA crossover cable, because thatās the only MA-MA conforming to the usb specification.)
Is this something that could be fixed (or worked around) in CE instead of requiring an outdated firmware?
Ok, I downgraded from 1.1.9 to 1.1.7 using the non-standard Type-A male to Type-A male cable connected to a PC. (Btw, if anyone needs to make one the 4 pins are connected as 1->1, 2->2, 3->3, and 4->4.) This got me past the āmissing partitionā problem, then I did an OTA upgrade from 1.1.7 to 1.1.9, and now everything seems to work.
Iām having the same error:
Could you re-upload the module again? Thanks
Sir,
would it be possible to upload this working file again, please ?
(i just got a new X4Q Pro from a good deal, replacing a very old Tanix TX5)
Thanks a lot
Could you re-upload the module again?
And one additional question : did anyone do the Android 11 firmware V. 1.2.0 update on Android and CE still works normally ?
Hi. Would you please share this file again?
Just got a x4q pro box and got this problem
One question : only on X4Q Extra with Amlogic S905X4-J Dolby Vision will work. Why do you need dovi.ko on X4Q Pro ? Only to solve the problem with āAndroid Dolby Vision kernel module is not compatibleā ?
