And again as a small sample, this missing - 1 did take more than 3 days of debuggingā€¦

And then people do not understand why NG is dropped in CE-22.

I suppose the use case of playing FEL using libbluray is quite a niche one. After all, there arenā€™t many devices that are capable of this. And even less ā€œmain streamā€ users who know about it. So that bug would probably have gone unnoticed for years, because not many people are using libbluray to play FEL material.

Iā€™m glad there are capable developers like you who persist in finding bugs like this, so thank you again!

And about NG being dropped for CE22: I think most people here understand, but they donā€™t want to hear it  After all, CE21-NG is up to now the only way of playing FEL on a limited number of Amlogic devices. Unless there is some truth in your ā€œmysteriousā€ remark from last week about waiting for news about the S928X in a couple of weeks

I tried some discs (not using the blu-ray menu, just play main movie) and seeking chapters or seeking using time jumps (+ or - 10 seconds, 30 seconds, etc.) works now.

Only weird behavior Iā€™m seeing is that if you try a time jump with the left or right arrow keys immediately after having done a chapter seek, something goes wrong. The time jump then does some random thing instead of starting at 10 seconds, etc.

But I can live with that. Most important thing is that audio now stays in sync and there is no more video stutter after seeking.

EDIT: The weird behavior with the left/right seeking just after a chapter seek also happens with MKV files. But it seems to be only something cosmetic in the OSD. The seek time that is displayed is wrong, but the actual jump in time is still correct (i.e. 10 seconds, 30 seconds, etc.).

Maybe itā€™s something in the skin Iā€™m using. Will try with the default skin later.

Thank you. Would you mind linking to the commit?

Thanks! I looked in the repo out of tiredness.

Hello,
I have a question regarding kodi 21 and 22 NO nightly.

On A311d2 gtking 2, does it use android partitions for anything after using ceemmc tool to transfer to internal ?
I ask this because I see the extra mount points for android system and vendor but im unsure of its being used at all and if it would be wise to update android and then redo the transfer to internal of CE to update the android code.

Thanks

Hello,
Coreelec will still need the vendor partition, I highly recommend NOT to mess with ANY partitions, if it is working for you, just leave it as it is.

What is it used for exactly ?
Do you have any idea concretely at all ?
@Gab0mon I just umounted them and CoreElec runs fine.

As far as I know they are used to maintain u-boot compatibility, to load dovi.ko and access dtb.

@Portisch can you clarify this doubt?
I couldnā€™t find much information on this ā€¦

They are need for media playback on boot time to load firmwares. If not available, no playback. Like the popup: No super partition foundā€¦

For new installation of latest -ng nightly on Nokia 8010, which .dtb image should be used?

sc2_s905x4_sei_smb_280.dtb

Thank you for fast response :ok_hand:

I still have an issue when seeking or resuming DV FEL ISO. The playback becomes very choppy, cuts in and out, and goes to a black screen for a while. I am using CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_nightly_20241007-Generic.img and using sc2_s905x4_sei_smb_280.dtb. The playback is completely fine if I start the movie from the beginning.

After todayā€™s CE NO update, AM8 and GT King II constantly reboot with USB tuner plugged in.If the tuner is not plugged in, it boots.
No problem with the NE version of CE.(piers)
If no USB tuner is installed, it boots and the system runs. As soon as the USB tuner is plugged in, it reboots and does not boot.
