Nightly builds (NEW)

If you need any further assistance just ask. I think wifi should be fixed as its a bit major feature (although I am not using it much).

Right now I have both boxes running vanilla, so I could gather information from both.

I have something a little bit like that with the 23/01 nightly and Vim3 (not L) but with a wired connection.
When it comes back from suspend via CEC or manually (it doesnā€™t always come back when CEC is activated). I get Network Not Connected or something like the one you mentioned. When I OK the error, it then goes to files root, from there I can navigate again to where I was at before suspense (e.g Videos folder on a pc). Before that it would wake up at the same spot I left it.
I had this before already and it went away at some point.
I did make a few small changes recently (not sure if it was before this started happening again or not), like disable wireless and activate the firewall in home mode. I now re-activated wireless and it came back from suspend without the error. Not sure if itā€™s related. I donā€™t really use it with wifi so disabled it.

Iā€™m happy to post logs, but not sure what ssh command I need to use.

Did anyone, who is regularly using audio delay (TV smooth function, long cable to Projector etc) in Kodi, test nightlies?

I am starting testing with AVR and nightly. I noticed, that there is slighty change behauviour regarding A/V sync. After movie is ran, when I pause the movie and resume, there is different audio delay from delay, other than when I press move forward/backward (I dont mean different play speed, just skipping a few sec). More specifically, my normal setup is -75ms in Kodi, to have perfect A/V when using AVR and projector, before switch to VIM3L @nightly. In Nightly, I must setup 0 audio delay to have perfect A/V sync on the same condition as before. Dunno why.

When I pause, and then resume (without any skipping), A/V is unsynced slightly. After I skip (move) within a movie, then it synced again. That is fixed just by skipping (ie. back, then optionally forward to the same spot to continue watching). I am not sure, what ā€œsyncā€ should be right, my concern is that its not consistent, ie. behaves differently when PAUSE/PLAY and SKIP. In my case the shift is very subtle, but present.

My setup is Multichannel HDMI, with passthrough enabled, HEVC fix off. Tested movie was x265, Dolby Digital. Streaming from Samba share connected 1Gbit.

When play-pause, no msg in Kodi log on default log settings. When skip forward, backward:

When movie is playing, no audio shift/change spotted. AVR shows hapilly correct codec, all seems to be fine. During a movie I used as workaround just skipping back and forth after every pause and then watching the rest.

EDIT: Hmm, seems like HEVC seek workaround does the trick or at least make it unnoticeable. I must change default -75ms to 0, and with this workaround enabled, I didnt spot difference between PAUSE/PLAY, and SEEK buttons. Interesting. More testing on other formats is behind me, but I am still curious, I guess someone with audio delayed setup (In fact, for TV I have even fps-triggered different audio delays, as I am using low level of Panasonic frame smoothening for 23.976 movies - which keeps cinema feel, but just a bit smoother and far away from soap opera) must have same experience.

since a couple of days i am having trouble with some IPTV streams.
when i watch ORF1 i have heavy stutter and lags.
when i watch the exact same stream on VLC with win10, i have no problems
this worked - i guess - 1-2 weeks ago without problems.
anyone an idea what could cause that?

Latest nightly made my Kodi green which didnā€™t for me happen before. I have seen reports on something to do with colors and instructions to change something, Iā€™ll go looking for the info.
Maybe this has to do with this? :

Iā€™ve also noticed after the last few nightlies, that my Vim3 doesnā€™t come back from suspend into the same directory I left it but to root files list.

Edit: Not sure I wanna touch it, as the commit has a bunch of other changes. Itā€™s above my skill set.
Iā€™ll use the psychedelic gui for now and hope for a fix soon :slight_smile:

There are no nightlies today with this changeā€¦ So this change will be included in next nightly build only. Please test it tomorrow and check if it will fix your green screen issue or not.

@boot2k3
The bit I pasted is from the 31-01 changelog (line 2).
I will look forward to test the next nightly.

I have the same problem with Tvheadend and some h264 1080i DVB-S channels since exactly the same time: lots of artifacts making the channels unwatchable:

I updated my CoreELEC from 9.2.1 to the nigthly on my Mecool M8S Pro+ (S905X) but nothing changed. I have no problems with the same channels on my Nvidia Shield TV.

Did you try check Interlacing in Coreelec settings? For the first quick peek I found this (details), and since you describe intrlaced h264 streamā€¦

I am sleep deprivated so I dont dig deeper, but could be pointer.

It was in changelog, but if you check nightlies server then there were no builds available for this dateā€¦
Now build currently in progress, so you can update and check after it will be ready after some hoursā€¦

Yep, thatā€™s one of the things I tried.

I tested that .ts sample and it played fine with 20200201 nightly @Khadas VIM3Lā€¦
But, I have artefacts on older 9.0.3 @Odroid C2. I can see from log you are using 3.14 kernel, so problem would be propably in that branch, not NG builds. @anon26735799 can you confirm that?

Wifi still seems to not able to connect with 20200201@VIM3L

Ahh ok.
Running 01-02 now, I can confirm the gui is back to normal.

However, now an HDR signal is sent to the TV. In Kodiā€™s gui and everything I play, whether itā€™s HDR or not (TV pops an HDR notification). The various HDR options on the CE system settings are disabled (HDR to SDR and SDR to HDR).

I too can confirm nightly_20200201 is stuck in permanent HDR mode.

Does anyone have a copy of CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-nightly_20200130.tar?

The relkai archive only seems to keep the previous nights files and as there was no nightly_20200131 then the archive is empty :frowning:

29-01 made my Kodi green, so you might wanna go back some more. Or wait for fix to the HDR issue.
Iā€™m not sure if it actually does anything. Only noticed it reports HDR on everything.

@boot2k3 Big thanks.

@timfolk 20200129 worked fine on my N2.

Yup. Forced HDR10 here as well with nightly_20200201 even though it is set to off.

Yes. HDR10 forced ON. X96Max+.

I tried downloading from that link using both Chrome and Opera and the file is always larger than it should be and will not open.
