Nightly builds

Hi, will the dtb be updated to lower frequency, or different dtb will be made available ?
sorry for the naive question, but last nightly update made by box not bootable because of this (I guess)

Post the output you get from cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep Serial

this is a revA, I checked that this morning (starting with 290axxxxx). I’m copying an old dtb over the updated sdcard to attempt to boot now.

That won’t help, use the DTB I posted earlier today for glat.

Thanks for your help, sorry I misread the thread in the first place : I can now boot using the proper DTB.
I hope there is a simple way to provide revA/B compatible TDB (or provide both if needed).

We are adding rev A dtb for the GTK.

Tonight’s build will include a new GT-King DTB for the A revision SoC - g12b_s922x_beelink_gt_king_rev_a.dtb
It will also include a fix for the N2 always running at max overclock settings, which can lead to stability or even boot problems.

Hello,
since the last update nightly, my ODROID N2 does not boot…
Thks

Did you update to 0820 or 0819 nightly?

Mine didnt boot either with 0820, had to manually revert to the 0819 to get it to work again.
Unfortunnaly I didnt make a damn backup of everything so I had to setup everything again

It gave exceptions during boot and went into a bootloop.

UART log would help a lot.

Update to latest nightly 0820.

It is not required to fully restore.
You can connect you SD/emmc to PC and replace only kernel.img and SYSTEM files (and may be dtb.img in some cases) from working image
And please clarify 2GB or 4GB memory you have?

I tried that, it still boot looped.
I have the 4GB version, but since I am back on fully restore 0819 it worked again.
I can try to make a backup and retry 0820 again.
Might be that its a combination of 0820 and some of my setting/addons.

Need to find how to do an uart log again.

Nvm, it boot loops again after an auto update( and this was a fresh install)
Ok gonna try making an uart log, be back later with that.

If you have any free microsd card than you can try clean install of 0820 nightly first on it to not break something… 0820 works on my 4gb box

I have no problem update to 0820

Managed to get it up an running again with just the kernel en system files this time.
Making a backup now and then retry the update and try to make a log.
Ow and the working one was 08018 not 0819 in my case.
So not sure if 19 or 20 is the problem.

Its indeed 0819 that goes in bootloop according to the failed logs.

Any place I can upload a zip file with the failed logs?
Since inside core elec it gets the wrong log files to upload.

0819 had a problem where the N2 would be overclocked to 2ghz/1.9ghz automatically, which could make it crash.
0820 fixed this problem.

Ok gonna update it manually 0820 and see if that works.

EDIT:
0820 Works, so in my case 0819 with the oc might have been the problem.

0820 is fine here too, so 0819 seems likely to be the problem
