I’ve a mecool m8s pro+ with a odroid wifi usb module and whenever I start the device wifi says connection failure im coreelec settings, I’ve to manually connect to wifi.
Anything weird in the logs? - http://ix.io/24uZ
Also the wifi module says 300mbps
Im getting 37mbit/s down and 18mbit/s up.
Is the USB 2.0 connector that bad in this device?
I’ve 1000/1000 fiber
Not sure how that would help the auto connect?
The wifi module do work. It’s just that I need to manually connect under Coreelec - configuration - select my wifi - connect.
The speed sure but I did use a usb Ethernet adapter before and it gave me good speeds
I am not surprised that you have problems, before answering with any nonsense disconnect the WiFi USB module, restart the device and re-write lsmod in SSH to be able to recognize the drivers used by each of the WiFis.
Your two WiFis use drivers from the same manufacturer and use similar and even shared drivers. I cannot know which drivers are from one chipset and which are from another. It is even possible that your problem has no solution and you have to change to another USB WiFi module from another manufacturer.
The only suggestion I can make is that you try to use ethernet if you cannot use the internal WiFi to enter the device with SSH to write lsmod.
