So basically we are talking 0.5W difference. I don’t know about disabling it by default. We could make a poll. I find it very useful. I use yatse and it is such a great feature sometimes.
I have WOL disabled because I don’t use it, but then, I always disable things that I don’t use…

If we have 1000 users that we are keeping WoL turned on by default for that’s 12kW of energy wasted a day.
Over the course of a year in UK energy market prices that’s the equivalent of £650/€720 worth of energy wasted.
That’s the same as a large household would use in a whole year.
Just food for thought. 
So we definitely need to limit N2 users. I will think of a download limit. After 500 users it’s no more people will be allowed to install it.

I’m fine either way with WOL, I mean it’s not ~that~ big of a deal to add a line to the config.ini file. I just had to figure out it was the reason the port didn’t shut off after a system shutdown. I actually ran that way for a while until I saw a post asking about it. In my case I do have a reason I want the port off.
I guess I could disable wol by default on poweroff and enable on suspend.
Yes, it looks like it’s the same root cause.
When I turned WOL off by uncommenting the line in the config.ini it killed my ethernet connection completely.

I am very disappointed that the Odroid N2 has no international environmental-protection label and does not shut down automatically, if it is not powered by green electricity. Couldn’t you fix this in the next nightly, too???

yes, this change is already included in latest nightlies
you have to unplug your N2 and boot again. Than the ethernet will be ok (so it was with my N2).

usbopts = 'usb-xhci.tablesize=2'
to your config.ini. @Ray I guess this is how to use the usbopts?
What is the format for this ? do we need a “set” in front of it ?
/usr/share/bootloader/config.ini has all the recent comments about new options. Just copy the uncommented line.
Thanks @Ray for the help. I connected my USB tuner to the rear USB ports for the last 3 days and I only saw the USB disconnect happening once. Thus, time will tell. I guess the 4 tuners of the others will fail faster if the issue is unsolved 
So just to verify, upgrade to latest nightly and add the line

Nice. When will the next release with this fixes (9.0.4?) will see the light? I don’t want to have problems with add-ons.
Well, after copying the tar file form 19.07.11 (emmc install) the system does not boot any more 
I will have to debug it tomorrow.
Any ideas why ?
