So my source for movies is “D\Media\Movies”
and for TV is “D:\Media\TV”
It’s happening on the N2 with no internet, not my Mac, so no way to take screen shot. may be able to take photo.
normally when i’ve plugged in HD it does not show up under Videos > Media Sources
Videos page has 2 listings - Categories at top and Media Sources underneath
As soon as I plug in HD it shows under Media Sources even though I haven’t named any Media Source yet. When I go to Files Link under Categories, my HD is listed. When I click on +Add Files, my HD isn’t there. So I have to click on HD, navigate to Movies or TV folders, right click, set content, choose local scan.
Comprende?
I oly have Categoris and Media Sources.
Under MS, the Movies and TV shows appear with a HD icon, not poster art.
When I click on Movies or TV, there’s just a bunch of what appears to be system files.
Yes, I get same thing when click on Files except my external HD is listed there as well, and when I click on +Add vidoes as I usually do, my HD is not there so I cannot browse to my Movies or TV folders in order to add them. The HD is already added as a Media Source apparently, so all I can do is set content and scan the Movies and TV folders, I cannot add them as Media sources in their own right, so that they show up under Media Sources on Videos page as they have in the past.
And you have tried removing that HD media source by right click and remove source?
Have u tried then adding movie source from your Movies top level folder and then add TV source from top level TV folder. As your hd media source is set up as movies, that is why TV shows wont scan I guess.
There are some pictures further up the chain showing how I have a Movie and TV source separate.
If you have to keep one HD media source then you can change the content type to “mixed” - never tried that but it may work. (sorry scrap that - that is only for playlists)
No, I got TV shows to scan but I scanned from subfolders not top source TV folder.
Before, when I clicked +Add Videos, then Browse button, my HD showed just as does your computer HD (C drive).
But now it’s not there. There’s a Home folder, NFS, Root file system, etc. as if these are CoreELEC os files.
I’ve no idea why its not showing up there if you have connected it - thats very strange.
The “home” folder maps to your “userdata” folder in Kodi I think.
I’ve taken photos but shoot RAW image so I have to process them in Photoshop and bump the resolution down so they’re not so big. Will take awhile - 3 to 4 hours with other things I have to do.
Should I delete the library.xml file and go back to adding folders as Media Sources?
It just means there’s no point to doing any more on Mac and trying to import to N2.
Will just have to do everything from scratch there with Arwork Beef plugin.
May be better that way to eliminate any glytches that could come from Kodi Mac app.
If u go to settings, then file manager, do u see your drive there?
Did you ever get chance to rerun export library on Mac with overwrite files set to yes and choose thumbnails and artwork set to yes to see if it creates the nfoand extra artwork files on your HDD? That would be the easiest method. Once they are on your HDD life would be a lot easier. Just plug in that HDD to N2, maybe best to delete sources and create 2 new sources from scratch. Install the AB plugin by copying the entire ‘addons’ folder from your MAc) , set up AB and run a scan - does not need internet as you would have artwork and nfo on HDD.
Yes, entire HD volume is listed under Files. Same setup. If I click add source to just add Movies and TV folders on HD, not entire HD, my HD is not listed there, just the same Home folder, NFS, Root file system, etc
Export library single or separate folders? Yes to all the artwork?
separate and yes to artwork and yes to overwrite.
doesnt matter about actor thumbs
It didn’t ask me where to export so I have no idea where the export is now that it’s finished. Yesterday I had it export to desktop so I could watch what it was doing.
If it worked, you should see nfo files and artwork jpg on your HDD inside the tv and movie folders. The “separate” option does not create an xml file, but should populate your attached HDD with all the kodi nfo and artwork data.
Nothing. Same as yesterday. Just art from Artwork Organizer.
I cant understand why it has not worked. Can u uninstall this artwork organizer - never heard of it. Hang on - Let me check it out first
Can u disable this artwork organizer addon and try again? go to settings addons program addons click on the addon and to the right should be option to disable.
All my artwork gets written to the same place where my movies and tv shows are stored but I also get the nfo files - these are really important for rebuilding on N2.
