Problems with Movies and TV Shows

My folders look like this with artwork and nfo files. They are all populated with the export library

srt files are subtitle files and have nothing to do with export library

I just wanted to let you know of a problem I was having with my own scraping:

  • In Settings/Media, under Videos
there is a setting called “Use Video Tags”. I think that should be OFF.
When I had it ON, I was getting lots of wrong scraping results.

Thanks for heads up - mine is already off - never used it before.

do you know what file types are created from artwork organizer.

With export library the file types exported are .nfo, .jpg and .png only (AFAIK).

How easy would it be to remove all the files created by artwork organizer (or back them up just in case …)

Really head scratching as to why export library is not working for you as it should.

Silly question, but when u export library, you are doing it for “video library” and not “music library”?

When you run it, do you see a progress bar showing all the files being processed?

Nada. No nfo files only jpgs from Artwork Organizer.
Yes export is for Video library not Music.
As far as I can see AO only creates jpg files. A real pain to remove, have to go into all 700 movie folders to look for and manually delete.
Would rather remove library.xml file from N2 for now, add media folders even though I lose sets and sort titles. Then clean library and start over with Artwork Beef when I get wifi connection.
Could use help deleting xml and with remote and wifi and bluetooth adapters.
I was going with cheap odroid remote and adapters from Ameridroid so as to avoid multiple shipping costs. Can avoid ship on eBay, but MX remote as someone recommended comes for China so still stuck waiting a month. However, ok if I could get wifi up in meantime. Do you know of good wifi adapter? as good as the Odroid Module 5A or better? and BT dongle that doesn’t heat up and stink up the room and fall apart like horror story i read in a review?

I have All In One universal remote that I use but need specific Odroid device remote in order to train it. Cannot enter numberic codes on it as there are no AIO codes for Odroid device.

I’ve install official XMBC Kodi remote app on my old phone running Adroid 5.1.1, but it’s useless without wifi on the N2

Potential problems on Mac could be eliminated by creating everything fresh on N2 CoreELEC Kodi app.
I’m left wondering if there’s some glytch in the way the Kodi Mac app creates library.xml file by which file isn’t compatible with Kodi running on CoreELEC, and if there’s not some glytch in the way the Artwork Beef system plugin operates on Kodi Mac app.

Sorry - I don’t have the N2. If you create a new thread (or yet do more searching on here you may find someone who has a working wifi adapter - I think there was issues with non-odroid ones though).

I don’t think Artwork Organizer files are interfering, because I’ve checked titles that were missing art, meaning they had no art for AO to download to them, and there’s no .nfo file or art files in them either.
Those files are folders so the Apple .dvdmedia extension could not interfere there either. On Mac OS, movie folders have .dvdmedia extension required to play with Mac DVD player app. but that didn’t interfere with AO downloading art so I don’t see why it would interfere with ABeef either.
Note taken on non-odroid wifi, so will stick with odroid as planned.
Do you know how to uninstall the library.xml file from CoreELEC on the N2?

I think that’s causing issues with external HD showing up as Media source.

I did find one setting in the AB plugin that I had set up wrong -

I think I had this value set on for both Tv Shows and Movies (the first setting) - I believe it should be off. If you run AB and add missing artwork for all videos it will now ensure that the artwork is copied to hdd if it does not already exist - still does not fix the nfo problem though

So turn off setting “Do not auto add artwork…” for both Movies and TV settings, yes?

Yes - make sure its off for both TV and Movies. Then run AB again, add missing artwork for all videos and see if any extra artwork appears.

OK running AB again.

Do I select “add missing artwork for…”? then select all videos? right?

yes then select all videos correct

do u see progress bar?

Yes, it’s only at 3% but can’t see that it’s doing anything.
I suppose the only way to know is to check a movie that previously had missing art.
I changed settings to download 3 of everything (posters, fanart, etc) so I could use Select Art context menu and change poster art if I didn’t like it, and so fanart background would change as I’ve seen it do. But when I check folder for movie it’s completed there’s nothing there but same 1 copy of poster and fanart as before.
