@Jonke in this post [Ugoos AM6b+] Help in placing remote.conf and making it work - #16 by Jonke you mentioned setting up a One For All URC 7935 remote as a Windows media center remote and it working on the Amb6 plus, can you let me know how you set it up?

I’ve tried a few codes for Microsoft but none have worked. The remote seems to only let you input codes between 1 and 6 but most media center codes include higher numbers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From the top of my head (im not at home now)

In the manual there is some codes to set up the remote as a device , Fire tv remote , Apple TV remote etc … Here you should set Windows media center remote.

After that you could use the Kodi key remote addon to map button to want you want. Dont remeber the name for the addon right know

Thanks @Jonke, appreciate the reply. So you didn’t do anything special with the remote or with CoreElec? I’ve inputted the codes that are in the manual for Microsoft (24364, 41415, 16631) but none of them seem to work annoyingly.

I have to check when im home again if i had to enable some dvb addon in coreelec to get mce remote work

Edit try this CoreELEC IR RC6 Remote Kodi MCE out-of-the-box

Thanks so much, that worked. For anybody who comes across this with the same problem, I had to delete the remote.conf and rc_maps.cfg files from storage > configfiles and then reboot. Following that, I was able to enter the code 24364 and the remote started working with core elec.
