Me, with my box x96max + 4gb / 64Gb, corelec does not start.
I engraved the image “CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-nightly_20200223-Generic.img” with balenaetcher.
I copied the dtb “sm1_s905x3_4g_1gbit.dtb” to the root of the sd card, and I renamed it to “dtb.img”
I press the button in the AV port then plug in the power.
The box takes time to start and start on Android, never on coreElec.
Maybe I made a mistake ???
Sounds like you have done this correctly, perhaps don’t hold the reset button in for so long.

you sure about the x or max part in x96max ? the x96max is a 905x2 device. h96max x3 is 905x3. x96air (subject of this thread) is x3. net, if indeed x96max you should use the corresponding x2 dtb.
Could you try install into android this app “Reboot to LibreELEC_v1.1_apkpure.com.apk”

The box turns on the TV when the box starts up (good for me). However, when I turn on the TV, it will also start up the box (bad for me). Is there a way to NOT have the box turn on when I turn on the TV (but keep it so that when i turn on the box, it turns on the TV)? Thanks

Set the parametres there for CEC behaviour
FYI: Coreelec on EMMC takes twice as long to boot (power on until Skin) than from SD Card. At least on my X96 Air P2.

What version of CE do you use? Did you update BL301?

Hello. I’ve been researching for hours checking the KM9 Pro and Pro Classic; VIM3L; X2 Cube, and now this one that’s cheap and connects b/g/n/ac.
Then, I looked at vendors [GB, AE, Bg] for the X96 Air and most of them list the 4/32 version as LAN 100Mbps. Where did you all buy your Gigabit unit?
