[S922X] Bee-link GT King

CE wont boot on my GT KING… i power on and hold reset like on other CE versions and all i got is a freezing Beelink Logo

You might have a rev A chip. Try using the rev_a dtb.

ur right its REV A now it works… whats the differnce between rev a and b ?

Basically clocks. Rev A chip is limited to 1.7GHz on the A73 cores. Rev B runs at 2.2GHz.
CE had a bug that locked all devices to 1.8GHz until two days ago, so no one really had any problem until now. Now rev B chips can run at full 2.2GHZ clocks, and rev A will need to use the correct DTB with frequency and voltage adjustments for it.

Have you bought this box recently?

Check the output please to confirm first 4 symbols are 290a
cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep Serial

Does this concern N2 in any way (rev A I suppose) ?
I run my with "max_freq_a73=‘2004’ " and "max_freq_a53=‘1992’ " on 9.0.3. Will anything change for me with new stable version, or if I switch to latest nightly?

Btw, is there a way to see both clock frequencies in “System info -> Hardware” ? At present I see only frequency for a53…

No, this doesn’t affect N2 in any way.
Default frequency is 1.8/1.9 and it can be overclocked to 2.0/2.0.

I wait to win the Euromillions… I think I have a better odds.

Does the GT King outputs sound on HDMI and SPDIF simultaneously while running CE?

No, it doesn’t.

That’s for sure? Few weeks ago I tested the stable release and it had audio on both, HDMI and SPDIF. Has something changed since then?

Nothing changed, the output needs to be selected in the audio menu in Kodi.
It might work initially after a reboot, but after any changes from PCM to passthrough, one of them won’t work anymore.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I’m only using PCM, so there is a change it will work?
On my 905x box it’s working fine, but I’m aware things are not the same among different boxes.

If you don’t use passthrough at all, it might work, but it’s not guaranteed.
You should select the audio output device you want to use.

Actually works the wake up function via hdmi cec?

i dont think so… the bring always new Boxes… and for best allround i need S922X with DVB-S2 in one chassis
