[S922X] Ugoos AM6(+), Help & Support

Did you also try disabling caching completely?

In my experience P7 FEL in BDMV/ISO format plays better without caching enabled, provided you have a stable Gbit connection to your source.

Only there are no interruptions when I play the movie from 0:0.
Forward backward and on search - choppy playback .
I’ve tried all sorts of settings:
Delay after refresh rate changes:
from 0 seconds to 2.5. I currently have it set to 1.4 seconds.
For caching, I have tried - no cache, as well as all other options.
I even tried a new HDMI cable - no improvement.
I also tried:
UGOOS AM6B+ →Soundbar Samsung HW-Q950A→ TV-TCL 75C855
The same thing.

Sorry for the banned add-ons.
I reset Kodi.
I only installed the Keymap Editor plugin.

I provide a new log:

And sample?

Your log shows you don’t have debug logging enabled:

2024-10-16 08:18:13.813 T:3977 info <general>: Disabled debug logging due to GUI setting. Level 0.

Also, unless I’m blind, I still don’t see what type of file you are trying to play (BDMV/ISO/MKV?):

WMV3 / WMV9 is unplayable if “Allow hardware acceleration - amcodec” is on.
It will work fine on software decoding!
“Accelerate VC1” set to “never” does nothing in this case.
Problem is reproducible, Device: Ugoos am6b+

Kodi Log: hastebin

Samples :

Big_bunny_VC1[WMV3](MP HL)(24fps).wmv am-wmv3 (HW) Mode - Does not play correctly, smearing of images.
Big_bunny_VC1[WMV3](MP HL)(30fps).wmv am-wmv3 (HW) Mode - Does not play correctly, smearing of images.
Big_bunny_wmv9_wma2_MainProfil.WMV am-wmv3 (HW) Mode - Does not play correctly , strong flickering, epilepsy warning!
Big_bunny_wmv9_wma2_SimpleProfil.WMV am-wmv3 (HW) Mode - Does not play correctly , strong flickering, epilepsy warning!

One way to fix it, would be to always play every .wmv container in software mode.Or any way to set all wmv codec to software decode only, a switch like for VC1 would be great.
( I know it’s a pretty dead codec, but i mostly forgett to set “Allow hardware acceleration - amcodec” back to ON, after playing really old stuff. )

@Portisch

Are you able to reproduce the issue I posted above?

I provide a new log:
https://paste.coreelec.org/BreachedMonica

I am also uploading information about the file:
00000.m2ts.MediaInfo.txt (13.9 KB)

If the log is incomplete again, please tell me exactly what to enable in the log.

team still needs a video file sample for proper replication of the issue…

I will upload the full movie to https://mega.nz/.

Hopefully after that, some solution will be found.

Are you playing this M2TS file directly, not from a BDMV/ISO? I haven’t tested the latest nightly yet, but from my previous testing P7 FEL in M2TS DT-DL still showed the same stuttering you’re experiencing.

If you’re willing to provide a sample, you can try using tsMuxer and follow the steps in my prev. comment: Homatics Box R 4K Plus - #2627 by unmoved6125 (but instead of using ISO as output, use M2TS instead). This is so you wouldn’t need to upload a very large file, just cut a specific part you’d like.

Uploading 20 minutes of the P7 FEL movie. There are no interruptions when I play from 0:0.

Can confirm that this sample plays fine when starting from the beginning, but has video stutters when resuming using Kodi’s resume option. This was on the AM6B+.

On the Dune Homatics it was even worse and I could not get it to play normally even when starting from the beginning.

In both cases I used the CE21-NG nightly of 20241015.

Does it play normal on other DV hardware so it’s not a issue of the media?

Which movie is this?So others can look at other copies of the same to make sure this isn’t a bad file

I played it on my “Chinoppo” UDP-203 clone and it played fine over the network through NFS. Also when using the resume function there was no stuttering.

However, when I tried to use the sample file with tsmuxer to make it into a BDMV folder, tsmuxer did not like the file at all:

And this kept repeating itself for every audio track in the file.

So yeah, maybe not put any effort into this one…

The movie is:
Avatar: The Way of Water

I have a problem not only with this P7 FEL movie in M2TS format.
With a few more P7 FEL movies with M2TS I have the same stuttering problem.
Now I can think of two more movies where I have this problem:
-13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi
-Fast X

If the film is P7 MEL I have no stuttering.

Hey everyone, I’m facing some audio sync issues with my AM6B+ that I’m having a hard time figuring out.

My setup is as follows:
AM6B+ (nigthly 20241015) → AVR (Yamaha RX A2080) → TV (LG G3)

Passthrough is enabled for all codes and I can see on the AVR that passthrough is working.

When playing TrueHD my audio is very often out of sync, however, re-winding ten seconds seems to change the offset, which is typically out of sync again. Sometimes its just close enough not to be noticeable, but when I re-wind again, it changes again to be out of sync. This also happens if I pause and then continue again. Its happening with and without Atmos but I feel like the offset and variance is more pronounced with Atmos. It also feels like sometimes the offset is changing while the video is playing… I’m really pulling my hair out over this

I could compensate a static offset using my AVR or Kodi itself, but the fact that its changing all the time has really caused me a lot of headache. This does not happen with AC3 or DTS audio as far as I can tell, or at least not as much.

I saw that the MAT Packer for TrueHD has recently been reworked which appears to have fixed many issues and people are saying that its pretty much flawless for them, unfortunately that does not seem to be the case.

I also tried connecting the AM6B+ directly to the TV and using eARC for the audio but that doesn’t really work either. I’m experiencing the same problems with the delay, although it seems to work “more” often…

When skipping, I can see the following in the logs:

2024-10-16 20:44:56.455 T:6754     info <general>: CAEStreamParser::SyncTrueHD - TrueHD stream detected (8 channels, 48000Hz)
2024-10-16 20:44:56.455 T:6754  warning <general>: CPackerMAT::PackTrueHD: detected a stream discontinuity -> output timing expected: 34072, found: 30480
2024-10-16 20:44:56.455 T:6754     info <general>: CPackerMAT::PackTrueHD: seek detected, re-initializing MAT packer state

Any advice? I’m really pulling my hair out over this, I can provide logs etc as needed, I just don’t know where to start in regards to debugging. I’d also love to hear from people running in a similar setup, I image quite a few people have this device specifically for its DV/FEL and TrueHD/Atmos capabilities…

Thanks & Cheers

EDIT: I have adjust display frame rate enabled and configured a delay of two seconds as well.

Yes, from the cut file, tsmuxer gives me the same errors as you when trying to convert it to a Blu-ray folder.
But with the original movie file (not the cut file) I had no problem making new parts in the Blu-ray folder and in the Blu-ray ISO.
If necessary, I will upload them as well. If only some solution could be found to this problem I have been struggling with for a long time.
