[S922X] Ugoos AM6(+), Help & Support

I think this is a known bug in Kodi or Amlogic that was introduced with the MAT packer changes. There are some workarounds, check the parent of this linked post:

Also this thread:

Workaround by setting refresh rate delay of 2 seconds. Also switch to nightly if you haven’t already.

Thanks, I thought I was going crazy with this… seems like there’s no actual fix though, I’ve already set my refresh rate delay to two seconds… Will monitor these threads though!

Until patched, I might try introducing an HDMI splitter and sending both signals to TV/soundbar separately to see if audio delay disappears.

The 2nd thread also has a command you can run during playback to reset the audio.

With the new 20-minute parts of the P7 FEL movie, which I converted in the Blu-ray folder and in the Blu-ray ISO with the program tsmuxer, I have absolutely no interruptions. Only with M2TS I have interruptions.

Interesting. Not sure what the difference between playing an M2TS file and a BDMV version of the same video could be, but maybe @Portisch can shine a light on that.

He has also announced this, which could possibly fix your issue:

I am uploading a new 10 minute sample of the P7 FEL movie “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” - M2TS.
The stutters are absolutely the same as in the previous sample M2TS P7 FEL movie - “Avatar: The Way of Water” that I uploaded.
Only there are no interruptions if the movie is played from the beginning.
I think I have provided enough samples and log files to show that there is a real problem with M2TS P7 FEL movie.
I sincerely hope that the coreelec team will find a solution to this problem.

13 Hours The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.m2ts.MediaInfo.txt (7.0 KB)

For me it’s a faulty media.
Like the ffmpeg demuxer says:
DOVI configuration record: version: 1.0, profile: 7, level: 6, rpu flag: 1, el flag: 1, bl flag: 0, compatibility id: 6
So there is no BL data? Only EL?

Other (working) DV FEL samples show:
DOVI configuration record: version: 1.0, profile: 7, level: 6, rpu flag: 1, el flag: 1, bl flag: 1, compatibility id: 6

I tried to use mkvmerge and the result is same.
The hardware decoder also do print a lot of errors on start of this media when play as FEL.

Is it possible it’s MEL only? Because then it play fine and no errors of the hardware decoder happen at all.

You know best. Both uploaded samples being the wrong media? I also have more intermittent films P7 FEL-M2TS but I don’t care anymore.
The weird thing for me after doing a convention with tsmuxer
in the Blu-ray folder and in the Blu-ray ISO (I’ve uploaded them above) I don’t have any dropouts in the P7 FEL.

I will try tsmuxer also. I found maybe a reason but I must check why and if a possible reason.

I am uploading the above correspondence with MauriceW67:

from the cut file, tsmuxer gives me the same errors as you when trying to convert it to a Blu-ray folder.
But with the original movie file (not the cut file) I had no problem making new parts in the Blu-ray folder and in the Blu-ray ISO.
If necessary, I will upload them as well. If only some solution could be found to this problem I have been struggling with for a long time.

convention with tsmuxer in the Blu-ray folder and in the Blu-ray ISO (I’ve uploaded them above) are made from the whole movie (not the 20 minute sample) and with them I don’t have the errors in tsmuxer.

So what is the issue then? Solved already by correct converting it?
When I try to use tsmuxer like to ISO the end result is always a HDR10 stream and it play fine.

I’ll probably never watch those 5-6 P7 FEL movies that have a stutter. I don’t care for these movies at all. I’ve always been with Nvidia Shield. I’ve had the AM6B+ for a month now and I’m very impressed and happy with coreelec.
Many thanks for the efforts made by the entire coreelec team.
I saw that there was a problem with these movies and I wanted to help.

PS: If you want, I will upload the whole movie. To be sure if the problem is in defective media.

I have the movies you mention ripped with mkv and they don’ stutter.

You also will need to share a short sample to reproduce it.

Did you try last nightly again with dynamic buffer as I see in the log about 4 seconds fill up the buffer completely.

Yes I tried with latest nightly. I can reproduce with all DV media.

I hav been following the following two guides to install coreelec on my ugoos amb6+:

  1. [Guide] S922X-J (Ugoos AM6b+) CoreELEC installation and FAQs Have spent around 100h so far and nothing works.
  2. https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/1ajszn9/remux_lovers_rejoice_the_coreelec_team_has/

Installing plex works. Installing plextuary gives me add-on install failed. Installing kodi Log Viewer gives me add-on install failed. I don’t know how to upload the log or anything. Please instruct me how to upload the log. I expect to be able to install any add-on I want at will

Check ‘Unknown sources’ in add-on settings (Settings->System->Add ons)

So mean it’s a issue that on the TV the DV logo pop up every time?
Is it a issue?

Also you use NFS as source, I have no idea about it.

Try local file and set GUI to 1080p.
But I can see no issues with Vertex and your EDID with 4k60Hz GUI.
It start the movie in 4K23.975 RGB 8b DV 297MHz.

The only issue I can spot is the media file itself:

[ 232.952812@4]- [1]VH265: output first frame
[ 232.952824@4]- [vdec_kpi][post_video_frame] First I frame decoded.
[ 232.954827@4]- [0]Error config_mc_buffer, 0th poc (1824) not in list0

It uses the CRA decoding order. But this should not lead to an issue it seams:

Some pictures that follow a CRA picture in decoding order and precede it in display
order may contain interpicture prediction references to pictures
that are not available at the decoder. These nondecodable
pictures must therefore be discarded by a decoder that starts
its decoding process at a CRA point. For this purpose, such
nondecodable pictures are identified as random access skipped
leading (RASL) pictures.

For new kodi logs disable audio component.
But enable video and video/audio timing instead.

Hi, I need some advice regarding audio passthrough settings. I have a Ugoos AM6B+ box with Coreelec installed. It is connected to the TV via HDMI cable, and from the TV, the audio goes to a Yamaha A-S301 stereo amplifier via Toslink cable. I am only interested in stereo and I don’t know how to set up audio passthrough. Should I have it enabled or disabled? The amplifier does not support any Dolby or similar formats. I would appreciate any advice.
