interesting, then might be worth reproducing with logging enabled and reporting to the team to see if there’s something to be done or it’s HW-specific to the box…
Hello,
I just ordered a UgoosAM6b+ for my LG G4 TV. I wanted to ask you, long-time users, what is your favorite skin?
I would like a skin that displays information about films and logos (Dolby Vision, Atmos, HDR10, etc.)
Thank you all
i’ve sold that one and buy a another one and the problem was solved. i think the box was the problem.
I use Artic Zephyr Reloaded. It’s one with many technical infos. Just try many, it’s not that hard to install and your tastes doesn’t match with anybody else.
Why does composite forgot my settings like subs and audio if i restart a movie?
Probly something to do with passthrough settings
HDMI Interface you have set?
Analog PCM for composite maybe?

Hi
I have been having a problem with my ugoos am6b+ buffering randomly when playing a 4k movie Doesn’t matter which movie I choose, it will eventually start buffering. I can play the same movie without issue on my AppleTV.
I’m on a wired gigabit connection, files are on a NAS. I tried a usb nic as well. Wifi was a mess and couldn’t load the movie. I am using mkv, they are remixed, so very large files (60gb+).
I’m currently running off a microsd card, but originally had the same issue when I flashed the device.
I have tried the 10/26 nightly, 10/14 nightly, and latest stable build. All have exhibited the same issue.
I have left the OS configured as close to out of the box as possible
I’m looking for suggestions for additional tshooting or what information can I provide to help identify why I’m having problems.
Thanks!
You should probably adjust the caching settings, described here for example: [Guide] S922X-J (Ugoos AM6b+) CoreELEC installation and FAQs - #579 by OCEFDA
Same issue here on a 2024 TCL tv
For HDMI dropouts I would check power supply and see if changing to a different DC supply helps. Iirc it is 5V, 2A so it should be very easy to find. Just need to measure diameter of the connector.
I have a LG G2 and never experienced an HDMI dropout so it makes me think it is unrelated to box and moreso the DC supply as those are very generic.
The power supply is 12V 2A and does not have a USB interface. Such a power supply is unlikely to be lying around someone’s house. But the idea is good. Maybe it would be worth trying to replace it.
Hi folks, anyone playing full blurays with menus? Wanted to try some movies out like that just out of curiosity of the box capabilities and CoreElec but from the oficial forum guide the java files weren’t available anymore. Is the feature not supported/recommended?
At work, I found a 12V (MeanWell high quality) power supply that might fit. I’ll take it home and try it out to see if it solves the problem with the HDMI signal dropout. I’m curious!
You need to install JRE addon.
My bad, did not remember well.
This thread might help in purchasing new power supply:
I use an 36W (12V, 3A) very good quality power supply with my AM6B+ and still have occasional HDMI signal cuts, so I’d rule out power supply.
Also HDMI signal returns sometimes by it self after about 10-15sec, or by starting the video again when signal is lost, or on LG TV opening “Multi View” option. All that does not point to a power problem…
Agree. To me it seems to be some sort of HDMI handshake issue. Disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable also fixes it.
Thank you for the information. Have you tried multiple versions of
CoreELEC? I mean, does it happen with the nightly, stable, and CPM builds?
I get a 404 when trying to access the link provided in the CoreElec install guide. https://github.com/CoreELEC/CoreELEC-Addons/tree/Amlogic-ng/21.1.0/arm/tools.jre.zulu
