[S922X] Ugoos AM6(+), Help & Support

A post was merged into an existing topic: CPM builds

Hello, would it be possible to configure AM6B+ to show other LED colors, than red? Currently it is showing always red. Would it be possible to have it like in Android? Red, green, yellow. Thanks for answer.

Are there any grabbers for this that are compatible with HyperHDR? Tried to install the CoreElec HyperHDR addon but the capture didn’t seem to work with Dolby Vision. My USB Grabber does not like the TV-LED Dolby Vision (shows all green) and was wondering if there is anything that can grab it for my ambient lighting system. I did get PicCap to work on my rooted TV but it is extremely low resolution.

On a separate note I noticed that when doing player-led DV I get the green and purple thing when running off of my eemmc installation. With the USB plugged in it was fine. I have copied the dovi.ko file to all three of these locations:
/storage/.config/dovi.ko
/flash/dovi.ko
/storage/dovi.ko

Hello.
Quick question - HOW can I output analog (AV out) or digital (optical spdif) sound out of AM6B+ to my old stereo amplifier (now there is no sound signal available)? In addition to the hdmi link to tv…
I use AM6B+ w/CE-NG21.1.1 nightly installed on the EMMC.
Thanks.

With buying of DAC from e.g. aliexpress ?

Do you get any sound output from S/PDIF port when in Settings → System → Audio => Audio output device, you choose "Alsa:Aml-Augensound, S/PDIF ?

Just a follow up … Seems like my crashes are caused by dv mp4 file with the following video specs:

The crashes happen when entering a folder that contains these files … I think it’s because these files are DV only, with no HDR10 fallbacks …

Hi, thanks for input, i haven’t tried yet, but I will this weekend. Usually I use output by hdmi to tv, audio settings are not that familiar to me, I fear that I don’t know what all these audio settings do. I need video/audio output by hdmi to tv and - SIMULTANEOUSLY - audio to stereo analog amplifier. I will try with an optical/spdif dac convertor to analog rca. Thanks, will be back with results.

please try the latest nightly, stable is relatively ‘old’ and there have been plenty of changes and fixes since then.

Thanks for the joke. Problem is another - AM6B+ with CoreElec does NOT output simultaneous sound in HDMI (for movies) and Optical spdif, for music only. Not convenient to go settings, audio, set to spdif output, listen to music, GO BACK settings, audio, set to HDMI, watch movie. Very not practical. Maybe now you can forward a serious answer. I have DACs, I had NO SIGNAL:
AM6B+ without coreelec DOES have signal. Since my machine has CE on EMMC, I need another machine on Android only, for music…

as an option, you can maybe try to automate the switch using JSON-RPC (audio output switching probably is supported there) and bind the request to the key or smth.

Sorry, should’ve clarified that I used the latest nightly (CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_nightly_20250116-Generic.img.gz) when I re-tested and found the cause of the crash. Hopefully someone with a file with similar specs can confirm the bug …

Take a look here.

Now that CE omega 21.2 stable release is out, would you still recommend using the nightly version or is it okay to switch to the stable version on the am6b+?

Dolby vision is suddenly not working sometimes. I’m getting a fall back to HDR10. anybody same?

I’m getting nightlies.

ok so I updated my Android firmware to latest slimBOXtv (without erasing the flash) but now it won’t boot CoreELEC? do I need to redo the CE installation? Thanks

And you try push pin from bottom side ?

I just booted from usb again and ran the ceemmc -x and then just restored my CE backup so all good again, but won’t probably update it anymore as it’s only small stuff, still same Android 9 base.

I’ve just realised my usb 3 hub is slower than usb 2.
Have any of you guys have similar experience?

Usb 3 hdd plugged to blue usb 3 running slower than 3 other usb.

With usb 2 am6b+ downloading large file with speed ~330Mbps and with usb 3 ~ 10mbps on a 1Gbps connection

Edit: Solved! It’s actually 5TB hdd slow as I’ve just tested smaller one and even its ntfs formatted speed looks ok.
Time to get new hdd I think
