I’ve installed CoreELEC on my TOX3 using a microSD card and it’s doing everything I wanted.
I installed the remote.conf file and the supplied remote works as expected, but I removed it to use the Windows Media Center remote support built in as I have a Logitech Harmony One remote and the TOX3 remote isn’t in their database (plus it has other functions the TOX3 remote doesn’t have).
Power on by IR still works with the old remote, but not with the WMC-trained Harmony.
I tried to trick it by creating a fake device with only a power button and using the learning feature to learn the TOX3’s IR power toggle signal, but it simply refuses.
I am happy to take next step and move the installation onto the device itself via the USB tool. Will this alter the power-on-by-IR signal to whichever remote.conf is chosen? Or is this baked in at some level and unfixable?
