Issue came back with nightly build, rolled back to stable and same issue.
Im at a complete loss what the issue is.

Hi, also using the Ugoos AMB6+, but not using an LG TV. I just got the Hisense C2 Ultra projector and was fairly frequently also getting black outs. So my suspicion is that itās Coreelec where the problem lies. Blackouts can occur when starting a movie and the refresh rate changes, or stopping a movie which also causes a refresh rate change, or going into settings and changing the refresh rate there has also caused blackouts. If I start a movie and it blacks out, I can hit the remote centre button, push left and stop the movie and the blackout will often fix itself when it goes back to the menu, allowing me to avoid pulling the HDMI cable and plugging it back in.
Iām pretty new to Coreelec, so I donāt even know if itās using X server? But if it is, then maybe itās something in the xorg config?
I also havenāt yet updated the projectors firmware as I havenāt connected it to the internet, I only gave it a quick test before repacking it as Iām about to move into my new home early next month where Iāll set it up properly. But for the moment, my suspicions lie with the Coreelec since this issue seems to be affecting people using other output devices.
Does the blackout mostly happen with 4k 50/60Hz? And works with 24Hz?
For me the blackout occurs either switching from 60hz to 23.98hz or from 23.98hz back to 60hz.
On LG C2 it happens only with 4k 50/60Hz. I have not seen it happen with 1080 50/60Hz.
One other thing, with 4k 50Hz it takes about 60-90sec to shutdown, while with 1080p it shuts down within 10sec.
Try with this test build:
It Amlogic-ng, CE-21.
Thank you very much, Iāll give that a test and report back if there are any problems, or if after a couple of days testing I experience no issues.
Yup pretty much the exact same issues as what I am getting.
I also get the impression its to do the frame rate switching since it cuts off right at the start off the video more for myself, but I did disable refresh rate Start/stop to off and the same issue occurred so not sure.
Thanks I will try that remote trick you mentioned, since its difficult to keep pulling the hdmi cable out and back in. Others mentioned they were able to
just press the back button and the picture would come back but it didnāt work for me.
Id imagine most users are not seeing this issue since they donāt binge multiple episode tv serial and just play back the odd few videos.
I know its allready been mentioned
You should never HOT PLUG HDMI CABLEā¦
Power cycle the Box with power adapter
Just pull the barrel connector out from DC in
Then plug back in.
Or other means
After a blackout on video start I press enter right enter to stop the video and it brings back the GUI.
After a blackout on video end I press enter to start the video again. This rarely happens.
Since switching GUI to 1080p I maybe had 1 blackout. Blackouts happen mainly with 4k60 videos.
Sorry for my slow reply, have been very busy. Iāve just had a chance to test the dev version above, I still get black outs though. If thereās any more information I can provide please let me know.
Get a second same AM6 unit and compare!?
Or try new NO 5.15.137 kernel when it get available hopefully soon.
Well I canāt spend the money to buy another unit, my wife would not be happy. This one is new though, about a month old. My suspicion is that newer TVs, etc, have some change to CEC, so while both sides could blame one another, I suspect weāre more likely to get a fix from the Coreelec team.
Again, if thereās anything I can do, such as providing logs or something, please let me know.
Maybe neverā¦ NG is EOL.
Well then hopefully when I get my Denon receiver next month thatāll solve the issue.
I nearly purchased the SK1 before, but was under the impression that it was lacking in support for some things, though I donāt care about Dolby Vision so long as it can be translated into HDR, so perhaps the SK1 would be a better option for my needs, maybe Iāll upgrade next year if this problem persists, or I could try compiling my own kernel, been decades since Iāve done that though, but shouldnāt be too hard.
I would have liked to buy another ugoos box but amazon pricing is very expensive like Ā£50-60 more then the price from aliexpress.
I have not had any issue at all last week, also tried roughly 800 play back attempts with the nightly from 19th december recently.
But it does not mean its fixed, itās almost random when the issue occurs so playing back video files is probably pointless but not sure.
It may have been random but it did feel like the longer and more I used the Agoos box the more stable it became, almost like it needs to be burned in for a few weeks since I have had the box for 2 months now.
The only other thing maybe one could try is install a different version of Kodi or Mavens Kodi release on the Agoos box and give that a try, not sure if its possible even.
Hi new to this thread, I have Ugoos AM6B+ Through Denon X3800H into LG C9 and this problem arose only a month ago and it drives me crazy when it starts happening. you can watch something for hours with no problem then you get the black screen, in my case the screen goes black for a few seconds then re-synchs, but once it does it once, it continues do do it more and more frequently till I need to turn it off and power cycle the box, this is with 23.976fps and 25fps(50hz if doubled) I never run 60hz.
My own theory is that the timing (fps) starts to drift on the Ugoos clock or it suddenly drops a load of frames trying to stay in synch with the Audio (My AV synch on this box has been all over the place recently also).
I can try to replicate the issue but not sure how to set the logs or collect them afterwards?
Connect device directly to TV and use ARC to AVR.
When itās stable then itās AVR.
Hi, appreciate what your saying but
a) I need to use TrueHD / DTS:X, and
b) it worked fine for over 6 months with no problems, only the Corelec / Kodi has been updated in this time.
P.S. should have added it works 100% Perfectly with UHD remuxes, whether that be HDR or DV (except for the AV Sync) so bandwidth is not a problem.
TrueHD works here fine with ARC.
When users will not even try or accept any help we canāt solve anything.
