Thanks for the share.
I thought I read somewhere here that eMMC and A14 are incompatible.
Did you install in Dualboot mode?
I like the idea of dual boot as the firmware updates seem to be important to CoreELEC NO operation at the moment, unless I am mistaken.
Installing to internal storage is very dangerous and often impossible. Use a good, fast USB flash drive, such as the Samsung Fit; itâs difficult to notice a significant difference.

Coreelec runs parallel to Android, it doesnât need its files, it loads its own Linux distribution

To read between the lines, you donât use the dual boot option?
Well, I think this is valid for older SoC version. S5 and higher needs data from Android vendor partition if Iâm not mistaken. Maybe userdata partition could be reformated to EXT4 and used for CE storage partition. But no one knows if this would âhurtâ device in any way and no one is willing to risk!

This only happened if we completely replace Android on the eMMC, right?
If we run a dual-boot setup, then the CE system is also on the eMMC alongside the Android system. In that case, CE should still be able to access the vendor files, correct?
Doesnât this risk only exist if Android is no longer on the eMMC??
There is no dual-boot possible because userdata partition is encrypted.

I have am8 to test on since no fel its a paperweight.
I donât understand why many people want to use eMMC. It increases speed, but the lifespan of the internal storage is limited. In this case, youâll have to buy a new USB drive, which isnât so bad compared to the risk of damaging the device during the installation of the system on the eMMC and shortening its lifespan.
To actually use it if already there.
I agree, it saves money. A good USB flash drive isnât cheap.
there are a number of things people do that i donât understand
use windows
buy iphones
tell other people what they should or should not do with their own hardware on internet forums
Iâve come to a point where as long as it doesnât affect me then people can do whatever they want.
Perhaps you could work towards adopting this?
Yes, I am not against it and I agree that everyone decides for themselves how to act.
Greetings,
Iâm running the latest Coreelec for my AM9 Pro. I cannot mount any usb drives to any of the usb ports.
when i disconnect the usb cable from the port, I see the drives dismount. I checked file manager, media and no usb connected drives show up.
when I open into android, I see the drives in the system menu. My drives are powered using C usb cable and connect to my AM6B+, Vero V and Dune HD pro one 8K without any problems.
can anyone help?
Iâm also using the AM9 Pro CE NO version, but I havenât had any issues with the USB driver. All my videos play through the USB driver.
ıâm using Estuary Mod V2
can you give the exact CE NO file name you are using? There so many of the CE out I might be using the wrong one
well my friend, Iâm not sure how you got your USB drives to show up in Kodi.I have re-installed the nightly build using the rite img file, still no joy.
I have read that there is issues with the coreelec alpha. Suggestions are using an older FW 2.0.6 for the AM9 Pro android, but this isnât a way to go for me since you can brisk your unit.
I really hope the Devâs here are reading this post and look into unlocking the issue. Thanks agin for your help thou. I spent 2 whole days trying to get coreelec to reconize the USB drives.
