Добрый вечер, подскажите пожалуйста, столкнулся с проблемой по установке coreelec на ugoos am9 pro. Скачал с сайта ночную сборку + s6_s905x5_ugoos_am9_pro.dtb.
Good evening, please tell me, I encountered a problem installing coreelec on ugoos am9 pro. I downloaded the nightly build from the site + s6_s905x5_ugoos_am9_pro.dtb. I inserted the SD card, recorded the image, went to the tree folder, copied s6_s905x5_ugoos_am9_pro.dtb from there to the root of the folder, renamed it to dtb.img (although such a file was already in the root of the nightly build folder, so I tried different options, from deleting the existing one to renaming it to dtb2) inserted the player, started the process, and as a result, the recovery mode (Android Recovery) appears on the screen with the image of a recumbent an android with an open door on its chest and a red exclamation mark sticking out. I don’t understand what to do next. I try all the suggested operations one by one and nothing happens.

Will this 2.0.8 firmware trigger a new coreelec build from developer?
I downloaded the latest 22.0-Piers_alpha3 (dated March), flashed it to a Lenovo 128G micro SD Card (SD XC1, 3, A2, V30), but the Ugoos AM9 Pro is unable to boot into coreelec.
Has anyone has success with firmware 2.0.8 + Coreelec 22.0-Piers_alpha3?
Note that the firmware 2.0.8 release date is after 22.0-Piers_alpha3.
Reason is I plugged the coreelec flashed AM9 Pro onto an Asus FHD 1080p Gaming monitor (Asus ROG PG2598Q to be exact). During the coreelec boot process, after the Ugoos S905X logo appear twice, the monitor display becomes black out. I believe the gaming monitor can’t support the CoreElec logo resolution correctly (maybe the Coreelec logo is 4K resolution?)
Once I hooked up the AM9 Pro to my Sony 4K TV, voila! Everything works fine. Coreelec boot successfully. All DV movies (especially the large file size profile 7.6 DV mkv) can play correctly. In contrast, if I play some large DV file size mkv (>65GB) through android Kodi app that I installed on Ugoos OS, I often face with audio out of sync, or playback forever loading issue.
Other Note: If I boot through native Ugoos OS, it works just fine with the Asus FHD monitor.
1. Fixed some system crashes
2. Fixed abnormal HDR colors
3. Some AI scaling fixes
4. Focus fixes in TvSettings, Launcher3
5. Magisk setting fixed
6. Added hide panels button to navigation bar, added swipes setting for showing bars
7. Some other system changes
I’ve just bought an AM9 Pro to replace my AM6b+. I’m looking forward to what’s to come. So far, it sounds great, and I’m hoping for some good news soon.
Since ceemmc is EOL, what storage medium is recommended here?
Which is faster, the USB port or the SD card slot?
2.0.9 only dropped yesterday, but for me 2.0.8 fixed some issues with CoreElec reliability, I would say there is more than just Android stuff in the Ugoos firmware packages
My box is the non-pro version, when I first start with CE-NO last year updating from the lowest firmware would break CE, then just before moving from alpha2 to alpha3 it was a requirement to at least update the firmware to 2.0.6.
Mine is running on the eMMC. I did that about 3 months ago.
How are AM9 Pro users powering off? Mine stays on with a BRIGHT green light that’s blinding in a dark room. Why no on/off power button? I’ve been pulling the cable out. Horrible really.
