This is not true for latest firmware. Same applies for some other devices.
Okay I admit,just tested CE on AM9,cannot play movies with my service.

Can someone with old 1.x firmware add loglevel=9 to /flash/config.ini file, reboot and play one file for 2 seconds. Then dmesg | paste.
Crash in the loop after I updated to 20251218. Every second new crashlog file is being generated. Kodi.FAILED folder is created but black screen only.
Where I can get the version 20251217 from?

[EDIT2] - but there is in each subfolder only one file without information what this release is, no “Generic” in the name and size is bigger than typical “Generic” version 400MB vs. 346MB so still I don’t know where to get the file CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-22.0-Piers_nightly_20251217-Generic.img.gz from. Is the version 20251219 correct? Does it also cause bootloop?
I was able to copy few of these crashlogs but all looks the same.

I didn’t realise you could use CE, I thought you could only use the NO release of the v22 as it had specific mentions of the s905x5 as being supported.

I am having audio sync issues in Android 14 and Kodi 21.2, is this expected?
My system 2024 55” Samsung The Frame (free Sync) Samsung HW-A990c soundbar (11.2.1) Ugoos AM9 Certified 8k HDMI cables
Previous setup was with a Nvidia shield for 10 years no audio sync issues.
My AM9 is running latest firmware I have tried multiple custom builds of Kodi, tried all the settings I can find in Kodi and hardware. I have had to resort to using the addon that auto applys audio delay based on audio codec.
I would have expected for a device that has hardware support for the types of video compression being played and the TV is matching the frame rate of the video that the audio sync would be spot on.
Please what am I missing?

Yeah I know, but you guys seem to have experience with the AM9 and Kodi. I really only want to use Coreelec build on my AM9, but I suppose I need to be patient?
You could wait for CoreELEC stable version for AM9 or you could flash Alpha-2 version or latest Nightly version which are released every ~2-3 days.
In each scenario you could expect different results including Kodi crashes, CEC functioning in strange way, unexpected reboots back to Android, etc.with Nightly releases like I experienced.

Is there any point in trying the 21.2 or 21.3 builds? Would they even work?
@Wildpig954 I have been using nightly builds for several weeks now. All is very stable, for me there’s no need to even consider alpha 2. 21.2/21.3 won’t work as the chipset wasn’t supported when these versions were released.

I think I’m missing something, just tonight I downloaded today’s nightly build and followed the instructions to setup on an sd. I successfully booted into coreELEC
I set the basic settings for video, audio passthrough, no addons, then tried to play some video files on my HDD.
Nothing plays, wheel spins, once I got some sound.
I think I need to dig through the wiki I suppose.
