Ugoos AM9 - SoC S6 S905X5

Useless data.

You need to capture the start of booting.

The s905x5 - S6 SOC family (Ugoos AM9), is a completely different SOC than the s905x5M - S7D (Odroid C5).

The s905x5 uses different CPUs, GPU and has different SOC features than the s905x5M. The name is similar, but there are many differences.

CE doesn’t currently support S6 SOCs, it will require further development on the CE code. There’s no chance that the AM9 is going to boot CE until the CE team gets an s905x5 device to work on adding S6 support.

Am9 boot image:

Here is a boot image, also if there will be nightly ce version, let me know,I’ll test it.

This file is useless.

There is no support yet for this device.

I made full system backup, hope this is more helpful.

Do you see it useful? …

For dev team only physical device is useful. Until then … you can just wait (according to your posts above).

from what I’ve read, the AM9 doesn’t have DV or Atmos.

No need to advertise your channel here :frowning:

This forum is about CoreELEC.

Are you going to open it up to take photos of the inside?

Actually I am thinning about it,only problem that I am almost every day at work, also since I have Ugoos q5m pro s905x5m and I get exact same error with CE and I think it is easier to disassemble it,maybe I’ll manage to open and debug the q5m then? What do you think?

I tried to test most important aspects, but one thing that I found last evening what needs to be shown in separate video is amlogic super resolution and how it affects motion interpolation, judder and smoothness,so in short words, when it’s enabled, combined with AFR for 23.976 movies,I guess its somehow processes image and because of that,I can crank up my philips oled908 motion smoothness setting up to 5 and there are no artifacts present(atleast I can’t spot with my eye),so if you have some clips to test motion interpolation, send me link,I’ll show how this amlogic thing works, but for my eyes picture is super smooth and no visible artifacts.

I don’t unfortunately, I shared your video in the kodi forums too, you could see someone that can help, this feature of the AM9 is interesting, wonder is CoreELEC will be able to make use of it
