Venz V8 Google play store and WiFi problem

Continuing the discussion from Amlogic-ne, New Era:

Hi, I have a Venz V8 Android TV Box running version 5.1.1. I can not access the Google Play Store,the Explorer app isn’t working properly because Google no longer supports this version. What would you suggest? Is there any software update available that could help me use my box properly?

I’m also having trouble connecting to my home Wi-Fi broadband — it only connects through my phone’s personal hotspot. My kernel version is 3.10.33. What do you recommend?
