Was hoping to find something with giga and could do vp9 but the C2 seems like its still the best bet i’ll just stick with that. Thanks.
Another Odroid C2 user here. Only use it for 1080p in the bedroom, and a Nvidia Shield for the home theatre room.
Odroid C2 does what it needs to do, and can provide a nice and smooth UI experience.
Rock64 in my living room acting as media player and a samba server, and a Nexbox A95x (S905) in my bedroom. The A95x is way more stable.

Was using Android, then tried LibreElec for a while, then returned to Android (custom rom) and after Kodi Leia was released (and was running with huge playback issues on Android) I resorted to CoreElec (so I have dual boot: Android custom rom with Kodi 17.6 on NAND and CoreElec on SD).
Never been so smooth as it is now with CoreElec

2 were for family as gifts to have access to my NAS.
I’ve been ready to throw them out for the last year until CE saved the day. They are now running better than they ever did. Not perfect, but far far better than out of the box.
