3D Frame Packed (MVC) output with CoreELEC?

So it works now for MKV?
This DTS sample to? And the other MKV?

I am not sure e if it should be 1080i60 instead 1080p60.

Sorry edit, just checked , Dts Paint & others works incl my own mkv collection, but 3D-full-MVC.mkv(over/under one) & test2.mk3d.webm(no one uses this anyway) donā€™t work & my default display Resolution is 1080p/60p. Anyone else can confirm @vortex ?

I can check only on Sunday evening, Iā€™m at work. The end result should be playback in frame packing mode, which means full 3D resolution with the highest possible quality. Both the beginning and the base are in mkv format with top/bottom, left/right modes. There is an idea to offer remote access to AMB+, or GT King, or Homatic, Vero 4k+ and TV and using the camera to see what is happening, I can imitate the TV remote control to switch and display the service menu with input verification. Will this help in your work? I would even send the TV, but itā€™s a pity, apparently Iā€™m far away.

I currently try get hand on a used TV but itā€™s not fixed yet. But this webcam is an idea, yes. No need of remote as we can use tmate. I just will need to see what happens on screen.

Fine. Iā€™m waiting for contact from you.

You will need to enable tmate and then send me in PM a link to your webcam stream:

Okay, Iā€™ll send it on Sunday evening.

Thank you @vortex very much for this.

@Portisch so is the plan like this:

1.To detect automatically so when ā€˜Same as Movieā€™, so no need for over/under & 3D mode is detected.

  1. Incorporate in ISO/M2ts/MK3D format.

Thanks once again.

  1. Look in player settings, there you can switch to preferred

Yes but unless you enable over / under in ā€œsystem-display-preferred modeā€ the TV 3D mode will not trigger. It will all make sense on Sunday when @vortex show you.

Ready to help with testing, my capture card can handle full 3d including MVC.

Do you think you can test the latest build and see what your capture card records when the various 3D modes are used (Side-by-Side, Top-Bottom, etc.) to get an accurate picture of what modes are supported and what is different between the different transmission modes?

This test image do open now 1080p instead 1080i, no idea if it works.
Please enable kodi debug and start the DTS sample once.
Then please post debug log by like paste .kodi/temp/kodi.log, thx.

Checked, the player switches to 3D-FP mode as it should, but it displays a black screen and seems to hang as the stop button doesnā€™t work.

The version with 1080p does select 1080P23.974 3D-FP 444 BT709 12b 111MHz on my side for the DTS sample.

And the version before with 1080i does work?

Please always use: paste .kodi/temp/kodi.log

The player doesnā€™t hang, it just doesnā€™t go back to normal 2d mode.
The image in 3D MVC output mode is output as 3d-FP, it is not a over/under
The signal resolution should be output as 19202160.
The am6 on HDMI gives a 1920
2160 signal, but the image itself is not displayed.

Checked the old version, no change, also outputs 3D-FP and black screen, does not go back.

In my opinion this new one is less sharp like 1080i and old one 1080p.
@DMDreview you have to ssh and type: ā€œpaste .kodi/temp/kodi.logā€ then post the url.
