9.2.6 Discussion

Yes but when CE ask me for updating I can choose which one I want matrix or not ?

If youā€™re in 9.2.5 the proposed update is for 9.2.6

oh ok thanks !

Black screen after update from 9.2.5 to 9.2.6 --> sync to display IS DISABLED

Hi, Iā€™ve got two x96 MAX PLUS 2, one to connected LG and the other to Samsung TV.

Itā€™s 4 GB version with Amlogic S905x3 CPU.

After the latest update my HDMI connection to TV is lost and I have to turn OFF and turn ON the TV, which brings the screen UP. Anyone with simillar issues?

As I canā€™t upload any files as new user, Iā€™ve included my dmesg here:

fw_printenv here:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a question not necessarily about the 9.2.6 realease. I thought that updating to the latest version would change something. The strange problem is: since a few weeks the media player does not play the second videofile after I watched one before. Manually selected. Otherwise, of course, this was not a problem with Coreelec. I also havenā€™t done anything or installed anything that would help me debug this problem. The second videofile has the same specifications as the one before. When I select it, it looks like it is playing, but Coreelec hangs on list view. not switching to playback of the video. The only thing that helps is a restart. Then I can play exactly one file again. And it starts again from the beginning. As already written, this was not a problem 3-4 weeks ago. What can this be? My box is a Magicsee N5. This runs otherwise absolutely without any problems. Any hints?

If anybody has had any yet unresolved issues with the 9.2.6 build can you give the nightly build found here https://relkai.coreelec.org/ a try, so that we can verify what still needs to get fixed.

I would like to do a 9.2.7 release soon. I know itā€™s not been that long since the release of 9.2.6. However now that the 9.2.x builds have the status of being ā€œLegacyā€ builds, I think it would be a nice legacy for the 9.2.x to have the 9.2.7 build be the most stable build we have released. This way everybody that will be continuing on with the 9.2.x builds will have the best possible build to use.

You need to setup Kodi at Settings/Player/Videos. There you can select what todo after video ends.

@haagen6000 Try nightly build if it solves your issue

Hello,

First time I post here even though I have been using CoreELEC for long time now.
Thanks for the the great work you have done so far.

I have a Beelink MINI MXIII II (s905x) and after upgrading from 9.2.5 to 9.2.6 I have experienced stuttering especially when reproducing large files encoded in x265.
I have also tried CoreELEC 19.0 Matrix and the latest 9.2.6 night build and I got the same behavior.

I think my issue is related to NFS as it is the way I mount my shared library. In fact if I switch from NFS to SMB the videos are reproduced without any stutter.

I have uploaded the logs of the issue at: http://ix.io/2RDH

Try to mount NFS share manually - maybe some more errors will be shown.

mkdir /media/nfs_test
mount -t nfs 192.168.188.28:2049/export /media/nfs_test
ls -l /media/nfs_test
dmesg | paste
journalctl -l | paste

Iā€™m not able to mount from the command line:

CoreELEC:/ # mount -t nfs 192.168.188.28:2049/export/Movies2 /media/nfs_test
mount: mounting 192.168.188.28:2049/export/Movies2 on /media/nfs_test failed: Permission denied

My NFS export is configured as below:

# /etc/exports: the access control list for filesystems which may be exported
# to NFS clients. See exports(5).
/export/Movies2 (fsid=1,rw,all_squash,insecure)

I think you need to use
/export/Movies2 IP_OF_YOUR_CE_DEVICE(fsid=1,rw,all_squash,insecure)
or
/export/Movies2 *(fsid=1,rw,all_squash,insecure)

Iā€™m not supposed to modify the exports file, it is handled directly by openmediavault which is my NAS OS:

# This file is auto-generated by openmediavault (https://www.openmediavault.org)
# WARNING: Do not edit this file, your changes will get lost.

@boot2k3 @cdu13a

My issue seems to be fixed in latest ā€œ9.2-nightly_20210304-Genericā€

Thanks!!

Hello I managed to mount the NFS on CE box, it was a syntax issue, correct one is without the port:

mount -t nfs 192.168.188.28:/export/Movies2 /media/nfs_test

dmesg and journalctl output have been attached to:

Now try to play something from this manual share.

HDMI CEC does not work odroid N2 v9.2.6 even on Matrix
HDMI CEC works on Android box from coreelec v9.2.6 and Matrix
on 9.2.5 there was no problem
it is interesting when i connect android box to AV, HDMI CEC in ondroid N2 works and if I disconnect android box, N2 also disconnects CEC
sorry for ang. language

Why no debug log?

Enable debug logging in Kodi and enable libCEC component as well.
Without Kodi.log - no support!

where I allow / I know now

hdmi cec does not work here v9.2.6 http://ix.io/2RF1
here works hdmi cec v9.2.5 http://ix.io/2RF3
