Iām using a homatics box r 4k plus with the recent NO nightly 20251003. Iāve noticed SDR white levels are no longer clipping at 235 like expected, tried various colour space and bit depth overrides nothing seems to help. Using the AVS clips from their forum.
I think it was working at some point but I canāt be sure.
Just noticed if I turn hardware acceleration off in Settings/Player the problem is fixed but thatās obviously not ideal.
The latest nightly has the following changes by @Portisch
w2-aml: change module/firmware install folder (Portisch)
w1-aml: change module/firmware install folder (Portisch)
This seems to have broken WiFI on the X96 Max+ Ultra which uses the w1-aml chip. Reverting back to the previous nightly get the WiFi working again.

same with x96 x4 devices (s905_x4), lost wifi on 20251005.

And there is build 20251006 which should fix a thing or two. Test this version first.
Best would be one user with the w1-aml chip can put the device online with tmate by ethernet connection.
We are going to finish the w1/w2 chip bluetooth setup what we are waiting for already since 3 yearsā¦

For the Chinese version of HLG (HDRvivid tone mapping uses HLG), CE outputs the wrong signal format, causing the TV to display the wrong color tone.
Tomorrow nightly there is a new W1 WiFi driver included. Also a Bluetooth driver is added.
Both are untested as we have no device with this chip. So it might work or maybe not.
If possible someone with a W1 chip put the device online by tmate service when ethernet connection is available.

The nightly from 20251006 has restored WiFI on the X96 Max+ Ultra (SC2) device. BT doesnt work but that has always been the case as no driver existed
I have put the device on ethernet and sent an tmate invite.
If it is not working, please link me to the instructions to setup tmate (especially any passthru rules on router)

For the first time I am seeing BlueTooth working and I tested with pairing BT headphones and is flawless. Amazing work @Portisch
And w1-aml WiFi shows all the SSIDs around correctly, but when trying to connect to my home wifi it gives a Network Input/Output error and doesnt connect
I have left the device on Ethernet connected for you to access over tmate to check anything.
Thanks a lot for your hard work in getting the W1 chip working fully as WiFi+BT that it is.
The other weird thing (cosmetic) I am seeing is the overly long Terminal env PS1 prompt

The SSID you want to connect have WPA3/SAE enabled?
If yes can you try without this option, set by the Wifi Hotspot. So maximum WPA2.
No, the SSID on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands does not have wpa3 enabled. It is an Asus GT-AXE11000 router
The device is still connected on Wired network and has tmate enabled if you want to take a look

No problem, I am not using it today, reboot as many times as you need it

With next nightly the sample will play with HLG.

Question on double_write_mode. It was always traditionally set to 0 = full compressed frames in older CE builds. Now it is set to 0x3 = (1/4):(1/4) ratio, with both compressed frames included. Presumably the displayed output is still full resolution (compressed frame) but somehow or other the additional option of (1/4) resolution has provided some advantage to something. Just wondered why you made this change to decoder settings?
Itās need for screen capture. Android have set this as default.
