What kind of log will help you fix the CEC? On x88 x5m pro, it was last fully working on the 20250917 build (± a couple of days, but in this build it 100% works). In subsequent versions, the box only turns off with the TV, and does not turn on.
I’m happy to provide whatever info is necessary.
I am using my home theatre with the same audio options in CE as always without problems…
Number of channels on default 2.0, passthrough activated and all compatible audio formats checked, and plays any multichannel format without channel problems.
Passthrough not an issue, never was. The home theatre AVR will handle any DD or DTS encoded stream.
The issue is with multichannel PCM data. Kodi needs to take the source audio and send it as a PCM or LPCM stream over HDMI with the correct channels. It works fine for 2.0 PCM audio or 5.1 audio. It’s on the less common formats that there is an issue. Multichannel has always been problematic through various iterations of CE (and LibreELEC) but always eventually has come through ok.
On 2 CE NO systems and Amps (Pioneer and Yahama) I get Dolby D 5.0 source, DD 5.1 from CE.
When played on either setup I only hear FL, FR, LR, RR.
Don’t know if this is helpful?
I think you are just not CE compatible.
i have a .flac and a .cue:
Herbert von Karajan-Berliner Philharmoniker - Beethoven-Symphonie No.1 & No.2 [2003 Hybrid SACD].cue
Herbert von Karajan-Berliner Philharmoniker - Beethoven-Symphonie No.1 & No.2 [2003 Hybrid SACD].flac
In CE on my odroid n2 i can play each title when i select it (iirc that was -ng?). But in NO on my ugoos am9 no matter which track i select, it always starts with the first one. So there is no way to select another track.
Yes, there are issues with libMali, but older versions don’t work properly either.
This is what I’ve found: 2025-10-13 15:02:03.896 T:1097 info <general>: ----------------------------- - Pastebin.com
when the device goes into standby, it crashes completely. Alway reproduceable. First all looked ok, i turned on the TV, then the device should turn on. But nothing happened so i switched to the input with the TV remote (iirc hdmi2). The LED turns off from the ugoos am9 (usually there is a green LED in front of it that always shines) and it freezes. Unfortunately, there is nothing relevant in the kodi.old.log after a forced reboot (removed the power plug, because the device was not responding to my remote).
I’ve also noticed that problem with flac/cue in NO.
It always starts with the first track no matter which one you select.
It is Kodi issue because it doesn’t work on LibreELEC either. Someone should try on Windows.
From Kodi github:
Well, cue sheets date from roughly 25 years ago. Whilst they were useful in some cases, the support for them in Kodi is very much legacy.
it worked and works like a charm with NG on my odroid n2, if that helps in any way.
Also, others .flac/.cue combinations work in NO. I have working ones and not working ones. If it helps in any way to provide logs, then i can run the working .flac and the not working .flac - i only need info how to obtain the logs ![]()
Better would be to upload the sample so it can be repeat.
Or at least upload both .cue files.
a not working .cue:

i must correct my statement. i thought i have working .cue/.flac combinations, but seems like they are all broken. one of them, where i thought its a working .cue/.flac combination is actually only .flacs.
I already have not working one.
@tete - I have found over the years that trying to use .cue sheets across different platforms was an exercise in frustration. When I started ripping all my CD and SACD collection about 15 years ago, I used Exact Audio Copy (EAC) and created full disk images in FLAC format with .cue sheets (similar to your example). It worked fine on xbmc (as it was at the time) and later on most Kodi versions, but whenever I wanted to play my stuff on other platforms (portable music players, in-car, phone etc), I found that I either had to re-rip to individual tracks or convert to MP3 or whatever.
In the end I went back through my entire collection and re-ripped them at track level in FLAC and used easytag to correct any title errors and also to attach album art. It’s then very easy to use soundconvertor to re-code any tracks into MP3 if the player requires it.
I still have my original image files stored on a backup off-site should I ever need to recreate a lost file.
That would be the “last resort workaround”.
But yeah, that .cue thing is really annoying. I already have to re-encode the .flac when i want to add them to my car audio because - for whatever reason - they did not implement .flac (BMW in 2014
). I doubt it was because of license costs ![]()
What i do now is in NO, i start the .flac (it always starts with the first track) and then i skip to the track i want to listen, that works, so i dont have to fast-forward.
My workaround in context .cue .flac is
creating single .flac files
S905X2, G12A should boot again with new nightly 20251021.
G12B rev.a should work again with new nightly 20251021.
