yes ofc
Ok - have downloaded and will test.
Sorry I thought your issue was trying to run ceemmc on Android 14.
no worries ![]()
i booted up ce-no from usb and ssh on it (like on my am6b+)
but it seems the sk1 isnt compatible with single boot installation on emmc, even though some guys here successfully got it working
It was very long story, but i am first time satisfied with CE 22NO at my old Ugoos am6plus. Big thank you. Last build is awesome, also is going suspending and wakeuping of this device without issue.
Go back and read the wiki again
Hint : itās the second header (i) symbol,..

people are getting very complicated these days, a simple answer can be nice ![]()
neverless, this is a forum and interaction and lively discussion is welcome
@Portisch - I have tested all settings in Kodi from 2.0 to 7.1 with my test files. After each Kodi speaker config change I rebooted.
Kodi set at 2.0:
All test files from two channels up to eight are mapped correctly to the two configured front speakers. The sub (x.1) channel is silent as expected.
Kodi set at 2.1:
All test files from two channels up to eight are mapped correctly to the two configured front speakers. The sub (x.1) channel is silent which is not expected.
Kodi set at 3.0:
All test files from two channels up to eight are mapped correctly to the two configured front speakers and centre speaker. The sub (x.1) channel is silent which is expected.
Kodi set at 3.1:
All test files from two channels up to eight are mapped correctly to the two configured front speakers and centre speaker. The sub (x.1) channel plays ok as expected.
Kodi set at 4.0:
Test files from two and three channels are mapped correctly to the two configured front speakers. None of the test files rear channels played back (they were silent) - this is an error. The sub (x.1) channel is silent as expected.
Kodi set at 4.1:
Test files from two and three channels are mapped correctly to the two configured front speakers. None of the test files rear channels played back (they were silent) - this is an error. The sub (x.1) channel played ok as expected.
Kodi set at 5.0:
Test files from two and three channels are mapped correctly to the three configured front speakers. The quad (4.0) test file rear channels did not play back (were silent) - this is an error. The other test files (5.0/5.1/6.1/7.1) were ok. The sub (x.1) channel is silent as expected.
Kodi set at 5.1:
Test files from two and three channels are mapped correctly to the three configured front speakers. The quad (4.0) test file rear channels did not play back (were silent) - this is an error. The other test files (5.0/5.1/6.1/7.1) were ok. The sub (x.1) channel plays as expected.
Kodi set at 7.0:
Test files from two and three channels are mapped correctly to the three configured front speakers. The quad (4.0) test file rear channels did not play back (were silent) - this is an error. The other test files (5.0/5.1/6.1/7.1) were ok. The sub (x.1) channel is silent as expected.
Kodi set at 7.1:
Test files from two and three channels are mapped correctly to the three configured front speakers. The quad (4.0) test file rear channels did not play back (were silent) - this is an error. The other test files (5.0/5.1/6.1/7.1) were ok. The sub (x.1) channel plays back as expected.
Summary:
Some weirdness with the rear channel handling of the quad (4.0) file in the 4.0 to 7.1 speaker settings but was ok in the 2.0 to 3.1 speaker settings.
I donāt think that the fact that the output sound configuration āsticksā at (say) 5.1 after playing a 5.1 audio file is a desireable feature. It means the AVR display stays on 5.1, even though you might have switched back to playing a stereo (2.0) track. CE will boot up in 48kHz 2.0 mode by default and it seems you would have to reboot after playing multichannel PCM audio to set it back to this.
Are you .0 files set to back or side?
I donāt know what you mean about .0 files. If you are talking about side/back in the rear channels in 5.x or 6.x or 7.x files, then it doesnāt really matter as the AVR will merge side/back data if you only have two rear speakers. The normal configuration for a 5.1 speaker setup is to have side speakers in the rear. A 7.1 system will have side and back speakers.
The idea in open forum is to read n read / use search. Etc..
In the meantime you answered your own question in your post, when you mentioned Android 14.update on your box..

Kodi audio settings should stay at 7.1, matching your system. You should just run samples with different formats.
I will make another test build later with also the channel mapping fix removed. Maybe it needs to āpackā all channels together without a space between to work properly.
The āswitch backā to a lower setup does not work yet. This is why only test upwards are useful right now.
@Joe_90 here is now the image with the āwrongā but packed channels: in_layout: FL, FR, FC, SL, SR, out_layout: FL, FR, FC, LFE, BL
But maybe it just donāt work with empty channels between.
It should be now same as NG I think.
EDIT:
Now the channel map is removed on playback stop and it always create it new on playback start:
So it maybe also works with 7.1 ā 2.0 samples downwards now.
thank you freddy, sometimes a concrete answer will not hurt ![]()
ofc i m reading other posts/wiki, but some things are quite hard to find
thx anyways
@Portisch - I misunderstood your earlier message and tested with all settings. The setting of 7.1 was perfect except for that glitch with the quad (4.0) input file which I hadnāt experienced before. It was good to test the 2.0 and 3.0 settings to hear that Kodi mapped the rear channels correctly onto the matching front channels as expected.
Iāll test your new builds with audio settings at 7.1
Ok - your second build (CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-22.0-Piers_nightly_20251205_2.tar) is now working the same as NG. The channel map reverts to 2.0 on playback stop which is ideal. Great work!
Iām still having an issue with the quad (4.0) input file, though. The rear channels do not play back (they were doing it on your initial test builds). The logfile is here - https://paste.coreelec.org/TiamatHavesham The relevant timestamp is 11:36:37
This input file works fine on NG.
I loaded NG in debug mode. The same input file(s) starting with the quad (4.0) file at timestamp 11:54:55 - logfile at https://paste.coreelec.org/ButcherMarley
I will remove the 4.1 setting then as well.
I left it in the list because of LFE, but it is not in NG.
@Joe_90 now without 4.1:
So it jumps from 3.1 to 5.1 if need.
Sounds pretty perfect to me, now ![]()
Log file - https://paste.coreelec.org/HoursRankin
Iāll spend a couple of hours listening to different audio tracks and test passthrough for some concert videos and movies.
Please check if 2.1 work to or if it needs also to be removed.
It have now 2.0, 2.1, 3.1, 5.1 and 7.1 included.
NG only have 2.0, 3.1, 5.1 and 7.1.
The question is also if other settings should be removed in Kodi audio settings at all.
