Anyone got any idea whats holding up the addons ?
I used a public demo base https://www.demolandia.net/downloads.html?id=27781967 and with some FFMPEG magic, Iāve created the necessary files.
A user contacted me privately, Iāve sent him the files, heās in the process of reviewing them as well as a README file Iāve included. Once everything seems good, heāll publish the 7z archive on his own file sharing account for the benefit of CE forum users.
CE is follow LE with stuff like this. You can ask there; they are bumping packages all the time expect the kodi related (which is most important ones).
No one is even talking about this issue over on the LE forum.
Because they didnāt bump kodi yet and they have no such issue.
Gonna have to roll back then.
Update: you can roll back to 0224 without anything breaking until this gets pulled in.
Audio Layouts Test
Ran the files thru my 2 different audio setups. Yamaha and Pioneer amps. Tox3 20260226
All channels played as they were described.
I also used Joes files . Same all ok.
Thanks @bazzle for hosting on mega.nz and @boxr4k for putting together the test files
I will add them to my audio folder.
Joe
Latest NO dailies disable
- InputStream Adaptive 22.3.8.1
- InputStream FFmpeg Direct 22.2.0.3
- IPTV Simple Client 22.6.1.2
- RTMP Input 22.1.1.1
as not compatible with Kodi version.
Note that on GitHub - xbmc/inputstream.adaptive: kodi inputstream addon for several manifest types release version is 22.3.9 (Piers).
But the binary library is not included there for various architectures AFAIK
Is there some way to catch up ?
Thanks for and congratulations with the CoreELEC project.
Really? Already discussed few posts above ![]()
I am so sorry to waste peopleās valuable time ⦠I did not scroll up high enough. Thanks for appropriate answer up there.
Anyway, should be fixed tomorrow with rebuild of all addons.
just for clarification: GBM just causes screen tearing? FBDEV not? Coreelec uses one or the other depending on SoC or on Kernel? is this something that could help us?
Itās really no big deal, but it is annoying and considering that all newer SoCs are affected according to this the complaints will keep coming.
Thank all devs for all your efforts, CE is awesome!
thanks. I understand that we wonāt get the FBDEV driver from Amlogic and also why it would be a wasted effort to try to work around that. GBM works, doesnāt it?
What I still donāt get is why using the GBM driver causes screen tearing. From what (little) I understand it is the more modern way. Shouldnāt this be a problem on other platforms as well?
- GBM works, doesnāt it?
No, FBDEV works, maybe. - What I still donāt get is why using the GBM driver causes screen tearing
Debug the closed source libMali.so and open a PR how to solve it. - Shouldnāt this be a problem on other platforms as well?
Other platforms use other GBM backend.
ok thanks. I meant GBM works apart from the GUI tearing issue, but maybe I still misunderstand.
I also probably misunderstand the involved parts, your last answer makes me think that then maybe the solution could be in something we could do on the backend. but probably I was unclear when I suspected similar issues in other platforms, I meant other OSes on the same (newer) Amlogic SoCs.
If you ever need someone to extensively test some development on this front Iām here. But as already said, this is just annoying but not important. Thank you very much for all your hard work and donāt take this as begging for prioritizing this issue over other, definitely more important stuff.
cheers
2 posts were merged into an existing topic: Ugoos AM8 installation
I have noticed on my Ugoos AM9 when I scroll quickly down my wall view page of shows or movies that there is tearing of the posters.
Is this the issue you are talking about?
I thought it was because the AM9 was such a new device and NO is still in development?
Addons should work with fresh nightly 20260303.
