Amlogic-NO discussion

Hi! When I add an SMB serveur source, I get the message “function not implemented.” Does this mean it’s not supported in this version of CE? Or is the problem elsewhere? Does it work for you?

(I should point out that access to the SBM network works perfectly with the Vim 4, which is why I suspect a problem on the AM9 or CE side. But I could be wrong.)

You didn’t even enable debug

  • Disabled debug logging due to GUI setting. Level 0.

The error you’re describing isn’t a CE error, it’s an SMB error being reported by CE. There’s a difference.

A few seconds on a search engine would be beneficial.

Read this thread because it sounds similar.

There are some changes to NFS since the update to nfs-utils-2.8.6.tar.xz

They no longer work the same as they did, May depend on the version of nfs being used.

Some of my playlist files no longer work because of this.

Nested nfs v4 mounts seems to be an issue.

Hi. Is the latest db version for CE22 NO Nightly myvideos143 or myvideos141?

Always the one with the higher number. So myvideos143.

It seems some developments are on the horizon that will enable FEL support for newer kernels and SoCs:

Not sure if this can be applied to CE22-NO in the future, but I thought I would mention it here.

Yeah, djnice has awesome finding and work on that.
So, the p7 fel deficiency, not a restriction of Dolby, but one repairable amlogic issue in the 5.14 and in the 5.4 kernel. :+1:

That was exactly it, Vpeter, thank you very much!

Hello, I found an issue on the latest nightly with Ugoos AM9 Pro. If I play a Dolby Vision file that has an L5 active area set for top and bottom (so it’s not 0-0) then the player’s navigation bar (interface) gets invisible. The functions are working (I can stop, pause etc) but I don’t see the buttons.

A few nightlies ago this could be resolved by setting the “override L5 to 0” option in the Display menu, but now that’s not working anymore. I see the difference in the brightness of the black letterbox bars when I change this setting but the player’s navigation bar won’t reappear.

Samples to test DoVi L5 metadata:

Tron Legacy Imax - 1st half is cropped, second half is full 2160p, navigation bar is hidden then it reappears

Tron Ares Imax - whole sample is cropped but 2nd half is Imax so black bars are thin, navigation bar gets mostly visible

Sinners Imax - 1st half is cropped, second half is full 2160p, navigation bar is hidden then it reappears

A post was merged into an existing topic: CE-22 NO: Looking for users with no working WiFi or BT

Could you help me? Which dtb you use? Microsd or via USB? I can’t get my copy to switch to coreelec - it doesn’t even show me the coreelec startup screen…
Fresh new x96 m300 - coreeelc 22 no - any idea?

“s7d_s905x5m_4g_1gbit.dtb” The DTB file used for the X96 M300

Yes, I’m using it. I flashed it to the card (renamed it to dtb.img) – everything as usual. I launch it from Android using “Reboot to coreelec” or the toothpick method – the startup screen appears with the text x96, then flashes, then x96 again – and then Android starts up.
Maybe the card is too big (64mb)/the pendrive is the same

I’m also using a 64 GB SD card with the X96 M300 and haven’t had any problems.

What method are you using? Reset in AV or APK reboot to…

I’m using an apk

Nothing works - I’ve tried five different cards… in the developer options, I enabled “OEM unlocking” and “USB debugging” - and it didn’t help. I think I just got a weird x96 m300.

Ok -
It didn’t work on the last nightly update - but it worked on alpha3
but unfortunately:

Starting CoreELEC eMMC installation tool…

System is not supported: s7d_s905x5m_4g_1gbit!
