Amlogic-NO discussion

No, you need to use latest nightly with the extra DTB I uploaded.

There was usually error flash on last nightly (no boot splash, only black screen and information about flash error and terminal console). On extra dtb for first start after clean installation let only black screen without console. (after hard re-power as 2nd first start it run with blank screen and again with console than with usually dtb

Personally i dont have uart coreelec board utility, but maybe other users can do it. Or you know command which would be useful for create logs on screen ?

Good old dmesg showed this:

Trying to install the Amlogic-no nightly on my X96 X10 box and just keep getting this message:-

Missing partition ‘super’ on eMMC!
No media playback possible

Any ideas?

@atirage21 I did upload a new version of the DTB again here:

Please try again on AM6 with latest nightly.

Does the new Amlogic-no 22 not support HDR10+ anymore?

Under ne 21.1 my device listed HDR10+ as supported and content played back as HDR10+, with the new no versions HDR10+ is no longer listed as supported and HDR10+ content just plays as regular HDR10.

It’s a bug that needs to be solved, yes.

Thanks :+1:

Have now tried re-flashing the Android firmware to my X96 X10 box and still can’t get Amlogic-no to work:-

Missing partition ‘super’ on eMMC!
No media playback possible

I thought the X96 X10 S928 was a supported device, am I wrong?

Did you boot Android once?

@atirage21 I did update the DTBs last time, please test if it is still booting on AM6:

I’m currently using my x96 X10 as daily driver and it boots

This dtb is buggy. Again are sdio errors. No boot

Same here on X10 Pro 8/64

Ethernet
Bluetooth
All good

No wifi since the original test img.

Do you have working wifi?

I have not updated since Dec 25
If that is a factor

It is precisely with CE-21 NE that I get double the performance. Version that I found here: CoreELEC nightly builds I am surprised that this is related to Kodi 22, because I have just ruled out this track by doing extensive tests on PC. The only notable changes are in favor of Kodi 22 which consumes less memory thanks to the new display algorithm mentioned above. Could the behavior be different on the Amlogic chipset? If so, I am surprised that users of other devices do not notice it because it is of the order of 100% difference. What do you mean by “make me a guide”?

I can also see that the GUI is more sluggish with CE22-NO than CE21-NE on the AM8 Pro. At 1080p60 and using the default skin, the scrolling of menu items is not smooth, looks and feels more like running the GUI at 24p.

it need time, it is alpha version. Better would be put here logs for identification errors.

Last build with 20241231 standard dtb was booted on AM6plus.

Here are all logs for debugging and next optimalization to future.

Add news: in retroarch first time was going vibration of joystick ( Genesis P65) as hand shock effects with kernel flycast in udev mode (in ce21ng it was never worked vibration). CE22NO is on good way. In retroarch is bug with midi. Maybe is bug of CE.
