vp9 != av1 != vc1
So what now?
Sample and log always with last nightly is required!
Your sample works in NO nightly 20250317 running @N2
Played your test file on N2+, nightly of 17th.
Software decoding is fine, plays fine.
Itās broken on SC2 only, but will work with tomorrow nightly again.
The log is right there in my postā¦

Is your log about vc1?
No sorry, AV1.
Which AV1 or VC1 you donāt say in your post.
VC-1 Apologies. Will try a couple of ācleanā installs and report later.
VC-1 wont open, hangs when trying to play, exit out. Prev issue.

Shame on you
Set Accelerate VC1 to Never in the video settings
Setting + Players + videos ā Accelerate VC1 =Never
@crazyturk . Well that helped 99%. Can play all my VC1 files but 1.
That one sound is good but video drags behind in slow motion. Cheers.
I will stop there atm and concentrate on trying to get a WMC remote to work properly. Currently a bit hit and miss in NO for me.
@Portisch . I am sure that log was from the latest. Internet is slower here in OZ

VC-1 will be reworked with tomorrow nightly. Hopefully finally.
All medias samples I have play normal with hardware decoder now.
Hereās the Eagles one that gave me the most trouble.
Try to play it with VLC or some other players.
Found a lot of issues - only sound, only video ā¦
Found two older players working:
MPC-BE 64 Bit Version MPC-BE download | SourceForge.net
and the very old MPC-HC from 2017
Maybe the encoding isn“t OK ?
Beelink GT King S922X: 22.0-Piers_nightly_20250318 - plays this sample without any problems
Tox3 905x4_4Gb: 22.0-Piers_nightly_20250318 - does not play this sample
info : CAESinkALSA::InitializeHW - Your hardware does not support AE_FMT_FLOAT, trying other formats
info : CAESinkALSA::InitializeHW - Using data format AE_FMT_S24NE4
MPC-HC 2.4.0 + LAV 0.79.2 plays this sample without any problems
As an aside (donāt shoot the messenger) - an Odroid N2 running ng 21.2 Omega, plays this file with perfect video and audio using the HW decoder.
Did some tests, In my opinion the video is not properly encoded.
I encoded the video to x.265 for testing.
It works.
