NO is my daily driver on my Dune Homatics. But I have a Samsung, which doesnât do DV. Works great for me. The CoreElec folks have done a great job with it.
What box is 4.1 ucode?
The draw, the x96max+ and the tanix x4 are only 3.33 ucode, the Tanix W2 3.49.
Will these boxes be fully used fully?
It is unlikely to be another Ucode.
Omega and Nexus are not perfect for these box.

Keep in mind it is only AV-1 and VC-1 playback that is affected.
SC2 Boxes
A95XF4 S905X4 latest slim ATV 11 u code 2.0
No AV-1 no VC-1
HK1X4 RBOX S905X4 latest Vontar u code 3.33
No AV-1 no VC-1
G Box S905X4-j hungphutho rom u code 3.48
No VC-1, oddly the G1 can playback AV-1
S5 Box
X96 X10 PRO S928X-J Factory Firmware u code 4.101
Playback all no issues (with VS engine enabled
you can add this to the list
T7 A311D2 Gt King ii
Android ucode version: â3.35â
No AV-1 no VC-1
So it looks like â3.49â is first working version at least for me.
Nice
Both AV-1 and VC-1 playback?
Which Box returns 3.49 u code?
Are binary PVR builds for no supposed to work? I was trying the latest nightly and pvr.nextpvr was causing Kodi to crash, reboot and got to safe mode. I recompiled the addon to add some debug messages but imy recompiled so works.
I now have a second problem because my X96 X10 PRO S928X-J Factory Firmware u code 4.101 has terrible colours in h/w playback of mpeg2, h264, and h265. I will send logs for that later.
I use two PVR addons that work fine (tvheadend and iptv simple)
And you are running with the nightly it does startup but crashes and I canât explain why the self build works.
It would be nice to get kodi crashlog. There was probably some library bumped which would explain why fresh build worksâŚ
All addons will be rebuild over night and tomorrow will be uploaded. But addon needs to be manually removed and installed again (with settings keeped).

Yes, both AV1 and VP9 works like a charm on Tanix X4. But it needed do upgrade to the latest firmware Tanix TX4 Firmware â Disk Google got link from Firmware Download from Tanix TV Box Manufacturer
I have flashed it via guide on Amlogic firmware update guide for Android TV-Box 2025 with version V3.1.6. There is problem with USB driver (needs to install manually) when tool is started and device is connected via male-to-male USB if it is not recognised. It is not definitely user-friendly for the first time, but I am happy that it worked.
Running the current nightly with X96 X10 PRO S928X-J Factory Firmware u code 4.101 all video have the wrong colours with h/w decoding with s/w decoding they are fine.

Android Dolby Vision kernel module is not compatible
You really did not see the pop up on kodi start?
Use correct dovi.ko
!
Yes of course I see the popup, but I donât use DV so I figured it wasnât necessary for traditional formats. I am sure I am not the only one who will have trouble with no if we have to hunt for this file for PVR etc.
I had read that Dolby Vision is not yet working because of the fact of a missing DV kernel module for kernel 5.15 and have tried to find one for the S928-J and havenât been luck so for.
Use this file
works for
SC2=s905x4J/K
G12B=S922xJ
S5=S928xJ/K
Kernel has changed, was
5.15.119 then
5.15.137 now is
5.15.153.
Dolby Vision since Nov/Dec 2024
Dovi.ko from Dune Homatics 4k Plus
Mist has posted
Also some settings in Android can affect playback in CoreELEC
At least for Dolby Vision in my case.
Android Settings HDR policy set to Adaptive HDR
HDR Priority set to Dolby Vision (if you dont use Dolby Vision, assume, set this to HDR10)
