But if I have no control then it’s impossible to use those instructions to SSH into the system?

My factory TCL remote works with CE without doing anything so looks like that’s my option

You don’t need the remote to remotely SSH to CoreElec. You do it from your computer. If you haven’t enabled the SSH in the CoreElec settings you can still do it using your TV remote, connect a mouse, connect a keyboard - multiple options.

@Portisch thank you so much for the Hyperion.ng update  Works great, even with DV!

Place this remote.conf file in the SD card root directory or in “storage/.config” and restart the device. It will work as IR

Dolby TrueHD passthrough in mkv, m2ts files does not work.

Good morning community.
Thank you very much for all your work. I have a couple of questions please:

  1. UGOOS M8 Pro is compatible too? As far as I see it is the same as the M8 but with double the RAM and eMMC.

  2. On this chipset is P7 FEL already works really, or it will be in the future?

  3. The fake tv-led has been solved?

Thank you very much

I agree with @Darkow - TrueHD passthrough doesn’t work. E-AC3 with 5.1 channels works fine but TrueHD with 7.1 (8 channels) doesn’t.

Here’s a sample file that contains audio track in both formats, the one with TrueHD doesn’t work: WeTransfer - Send Large Files & Share Photos Online - Up to 2GB Free

Also one thing that I noticed when playing large remux file (above 60GB) - when you resume playback its very choppy until you pause it for a little bit and hit play again, then its getting smooth again. Not sure if you need logs for that?

Is it possible to change volume on the reciever with the ugoos-remote, instead of the standard “kodi-volume”?

Fixed it with CEC

Hi everyone, please somebody for trying a performance of device s928x in retroarch addons (GC, ps2). Thx.

If the retroarch addon works similarly to EmuELEC, it won’t make use of different core types. It would either use the single A76 core, or the four A55 cores.

I ask on reality and experience, because according paper is also my s922xj with 6 gpu cores, but in reality is only 2mc (ugoos am6+ according to aida64 and retroarch). Only experience have value in case of these tv boxes.

No DTB available for 5.15 new order kernel?

emuElec would be nice… Hopefully in future.

Under AM8/CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-22.0-P_nightly_20240714 the BT remote still doesn’t work - after pairing it throws it away…!

I was able to pair my amazon remote and it stays paired. BT signal strength seems very weak tho.

I have 4 problems on AM8 I hope it gets fixed :

1- I can’t play DV when the movie resolution 1080 i have error colors and black screen , but 4K play good and HDR/1080 it’s working also

2- I can’t pair bluetooth to my AM8 remote , it always tells me there is an error , I’ve found that it only pairs if the remote is placed closely in front of the box, I think the issue has to do with coverage.

3- TrueHD and DTS-HD doesn’t work

4- I can’t control the LED on the box to turn off , it’s always green

Thanks to the all team
for generous and continued support .

Better for me is addon retroarch on coreElec than standalone emuElec only for gaming. Only is missing possibility for adding opensource ports of games as supertuxkart and supertux to coreElec (ports are in under roms folder in emuElec). But for retroarch also you dont need waiting (also maybe emuElec would be close because EmuELEC forum will be potentially shut down). https://emuelec.discourse.group/

My AM8 Pro’s original UR-01 Bluetooth remote control also can’t be paired, so I had to put the infrared profile in, okay, all normal use. There is also a red light on the shutdown function, and a blue light on standby, I don’t know if it can be modified to turn off the red light after shutting down. Other bugs are similar to yours.
