Is there any way to disable CEC?
System+Input+Peripherals+CEC Adapter+Enabled(off)
Good day,
Will there also be a dual boot for the Ugoos am8? Or can I just install it as a single boot?
Thanks in advance
Yes, singleboot works perfectly. Use ceemmc -x.

Received my Dune HD Pro 8K Plus (Amlogic S928X H/J) yesterday. It has microSC card slot, but I can only get CoreELEC to work on this box using a pen drive.
Is there something special to get CE to work from a microSD card?? I have only tested the SK1 device tree.
Edit: CoreELEC is NOW working from the microSD card. However, I have to completely remove power from the box then restore power. If I just do a restart or using the Boot to CoreELEC app, it boots back into the Dune OS. Strange.
Short questionâŚ
Is it possible to boot CE from internal HDD/SSD bay?
Iâm a owner of dune HD premier 4k pro and thatâs not working on this device.
i have Dune HD Sky 4K Plus & have ssd port
and conât boot from ssd, only sdcard
Hi all,
I installed CE-22 on an AM8 Pro, everything works except DV.
Display supported HDR types: HDR10, HLG
However I did put the dovi.ko file (ugoos.am8.dovi.ko) at the root.
FYI, the Kodi 4K interface (without upscaling) with Skin Fuse 2 runs at 25 FPS, compared to 30 FPS on Vim 4. A bit disappointing.
However, the AM8 Pro never exceeds 45°C, while Vim4 reaches 68°C.
Could it be that CE is not fully exploiting the capabilities of the AM8 Pro?
Multicore performance of the VIM4 (A311D2) is a bit better than the AM8 (S928X), so the extra fps arenât a total surprise. 68C is high, was the fan not activating?
Dolbyvision AM8 does not work on CE with core structure 5.15.119. Dolbyvision runs on CE with a core structure of 5.4.210.
This is a passive cooling system (Box/radiator).
NE and NO are currently very buggy when using DV. Like wrong bitdepth is used for RGB TV-Led mode.
It should work better with new NO 5.15.137 kernel.
CE-22 NE will be dropped soon.
Thanks for this information, Portisch. Do we have any idea when the first builds under this kernel could be available?
When itâs ready itâs ready.
I tested the AM8 Pro with the Build under CE 21. It is 15% smoother on the latter, than on the Build CE 22. We go from 25 to 29 FPS, which is ultimately very close to Vim4. At this stage, it is usable, cool!
However, apart from the absence of Dolby Vision, I notice the presence of brief artifacts each time we advance in a 4K HDR film. In addition, sometimes, when we leave a film, the colors of the interface become dull, as if the color space had remained blocked. Do others notice this?
No log is required right now.
NE and NO 5.15.119 is obsolete.
5.15.137 will be a new start for NO.
DV is working on G12B, SC2 and S5 - tested.
Will there be an automatic update to 5.15.137? Or should we watch for the build to appear here?
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas.
CE-22 nightly updates got fixed today, just reboot with a nightly installed.
Cool ! ButâŚ
I was on CE-21, so I installed:
CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-22.0-Piers_nightly_20241225-Generic.img.gz
However, when starting CE, the colors are strange, and I get the following message:
âAndroid Dolby Vision kernel module is not compatible. No Dolby Vision media playback possible ! Please Pugrade Android firmware of your device to minimum Linux Kernel version â5.15.137â. Dolby Vision media will be displayed ine HDR instead Dolby Vision until the firmware fulfill the minimum requirements.â
Now, I have the latest version of Android installed and I placed this Dovi in ââthe root: https://www.mediafire.com/file/vt9rzu29jusb58x/ugoos.am8.dovi.ko/file
Therefore, I donât understand whatâs wrong.
