To try the image Iâve done clean install of nightly from 23.09 because itâs a tar file and not img and put the -2 DTB from your upload in root. After boot of 23.09 nightly there was no ethernet. Booted android, then CE and got ethernet. CE did autoupdate of 24.09 nightly and from then on ethernet is working without the need of boot into android. Is there a difference of autoupdate(tar-file) or updating via generic.img.gz ?
An autoupdate(24.09) of my main CE which had the mentioned ethernet problems is now working without need of booting android, too.

I did not look further and no plans to, just documenting for others to maybe take up, NG will be EOL and little point digging deep into it.
I did notice whilst looking at something else the video out fps was dropped by exactly the same fps (value is expressed in hex in the exposed param, so recall same value - I think would equate to 10 fps) for hevc, before recovering ok shortly afterwards - which is likely just coincidence but sort of thing that may spark another epiphany.
I think another interesting test is see if the dtb from MasterKeyxda has any effect - i.e. if it was some CPU issue then would expect to see a diff - seems unlikely given whatâs known already but a good data point to have.

Hello, I tested the NG version, FEL works but I have sound drops and problems with some video formats is there a solution to the problem? Iâm with Homatics Box R Plus 4K .

If you look deeply, that is a 1080i interlaced video. (ScanType/String : Interlaced). I have encountered the same issue on one of my Dune media players.

Does meccol mk2 plus deluxe( S905X4-J ) currently support dv fel like the homatics?
The box will play DV FEL, the problem is that itâs locked down and wonât boot CE.
As I was experiencing similar playback problems, I started to find out the cause. I couldnât find the cause but I made an interesting discovery. I tested on 4 Homatics devices, Dune Homatics rev.d without A/V connection, Dune Premier Pro rev.b with A/V connection, Homatics rev.b (silver) and Homatics rev.d (rosegold), the result is very strange, rev.b is not effected with this issue, VC-1, mp2, interlaced materials with hardware acceleration are good, picture is okay, rev.d is problematic, and at this time the software decoding is the only solution.

The early s905x4 boxes were released with ATV10 (kernel 4.9), so perhaps by the time Amlogic started manufacturing s905x4 rev 3/4 SOCs there was a SOC package change that is incompatible with the 4.9 kernel AML decoder module. And there was no need for them to address it because at that stage all new s905x4 boxes were being released with ATV11 (kernel 5.4)?
FYI, was taking another look at this recently.
Nothing that interesting yet, but it looks like 4.9 is putting the pts register into the error count - tried correcting for that and as expected no material difference.
For others you can switch the forced interlacing off and on on the fly when using hw acc. with:
echo di_debug_flag0x0 > /sys/class/deinterlace/di0/debug
and
echo di_debug_flag0x10000 > /sys/class/deinterlace/di0/debug

the repository was cleaned up by the author, all builds and branch snapshots were removed. Only current code in one branch remains.
You still can access the sources of A1-5 versions via respective tags.
hello, iam new here, i buy a homatic 4 r plus, and today a search (almost all day) how to install but not understand waht i am doing wrong.
i try this builds:
CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_nightly_20241026-Generic.img
CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega-Generic.img
in both i canât find de Dv option (i install dovi.ko) an use 4GB RAM + 1Gbit ethernet, use sc2_s905x4_4g_1gbit.dtb. and rename it.
also in the reboot menu i canât find reboot to emmc.
can anyone help?

i did check that one but is for NE and in OP say the dv fel only work in NG versions.

Yes, DV FEL is only in -ng versions.
Yes, sorry missed -ng, so the dtb should be the right one.
Regarding DV, maybe you copied wrong dovi.ko, placed it in wrong folder, or your TV doesnât support DV.
A log would help, as others reported it as working.
i copy dovi.ko in the OP to the same spot where i put, sc2_s905x4_4g_1gbit.dtb.
I didnât try in DV television the tv will arrive on friday, but i want to set up the box first, i will try on friday and let you know.
the other problem i have is the reboot menu, in the menu the option âReboot to emmcâ do not show. Any solution?
