It hasn’t been working for quite some time here. But I have no idea when it stopped working… maybe since the update to Matrix.
Updated yesterday from 9.2.7 to 19.1 on Minix U22-XJ. Everything looks ok, except for one thing… SKINS.
It seems there is no skins support at all.
Any idea when we might see skin support?
What do you mean by Skin Support? There are about half a dozen skins in the official repo and others available from third-parties.
Does anyone else find all the Coreelec v19.x are extremely sluggish running off microSD? I think there may be some driver issue with the microSD card reader? The exact same microSD card i used with Coreelec Leia runs extremely well. However, installing Corelec 19.x on it have lots of pauses, hangs and restarts with just browsing around. If I stay on one TV show and watches the episodes then it is fine. The issue I think is when the system reads the images and such to cache which causes pauses/hangs or restart.
I have a generic S905x box. I only use LAN on it so wifi/BT does not really matter but having a working microSD is the bare minimum.
Absolutely not. Try another card or USB pendrive and try again. It’s lightning fast on my end.

AFAIK uSD card is not in use once Kodi finishes booting; it then runs from memory, so speed of the uSD card should not be any obstacle for error free Kodi usage.
I think that uSD speed is only critical when Kodi reads or writes to it, that is during boot/shutdown and reading/writing to some library…
Hi CoreELEC Team, Image freezes on some channels.Actually, this bug has been around for a long time. It was also present in previous releases.My device is GT King Pro + USB TBS5520SE
The video recording does not have this error.The error occurs in close-up scenes of the camera.It occurs in sd channels in mpeg2 format.

Yes, I noticed it works slowly with microsd and usb flash.
P.S. I checked it with the nmon program.
I mean, in Kodi when I go into settings and try to select a different skin, I get ZERO options. Right now all I have is estuary and no other choice.
PS: I hate the estuary skin.
Because Estuary is the only one preinstalled. You have to install other skins to have more than a zero choice

Looking to update my Ki-Pro internal install from Coreelec 9.2.7 to 19.1-Matrix.
I found out Ki-Pro is not supported by “ceemmc” for single boot, and installtointernal doesn’t exist on “ng” builds.
Perhaps a naive question but will a “tar” update from Coreelec 9.2.7 to 19.1-Matrix work?

PS, the installtointernal script worked fine on pre-NG Coreelec builds allthough it was never officially supported.
Has anyone unofficially tried it on Matrix?

Maybe fixed in Python 3.8.10.
Python 3.8 is much more buggy than 2.7… 
Hmm… maybe you are right, I found that bug report: Issue 38501: multiprocessing.Pool hangs atexit (and garbage collection sometimes) - Python tracker and it says it is fixed.
Also I found that: script.module.metadatautils/utils.py at master · kodi-community-addons/script.module.metadatautils · GitHub here it is imported. Is it possible it is caused by metadatautils addon?
I think I did not install it last time I used Arctic Zephyr 2 and I did not see that errors. Yesterday I reinstalled CE and tried Arctic Zephyr 2 skin one more time but this time I installed required addons manually, among others metadatautils.
Is python updated with Kodi or CE itself? How long we should wait until it will be fixed, how you think? 
and is this error problematic or I can ignore it?

I have CE v9.2.7 installed on a microSD card. Apart from some occasional video freezing, it works well. If I install Matrix v19.1 on a different SD card, will the 2 be interchangeable so that I can instantly return to 9.2.7 if 19.1 doesn’t work out for me?
My box is a Ugoos AM6 Plus.
Previously (v9.x) when I went into skins in the kodi menu I had an option to search/download other skins. With 19.1 I have no such option.
Are you telling me that YOU have such an option on your 19.1 installation? If so, how did you get it?
Ok, never mind. I have figured it out, but had to do an internet search and spend a lot of time to find a solution. There really should be an easier way. I never had this problem with previous versions of kodi.
