CoreELEC 9.2.3: tvheadend not working

Hi,

Updated CoreELEC 9.2.1 to 9.2.3. After that tvheadend server (4.2) doesn’t start. It’s not reachable from the tvh clients and web site is not reachable.

It’s an Hardkernel N2 if that matters.

systemctl status gives:
● service.tvheadend42.service - TVHeadend42 Service

What can I do to get it working? Starting over with an empty configuration does not help.

Looks like it’s running. But network works for you?

Did you read the following thread?

It can be related. What’s the dvb tuner you are using?

Please ssh and post output of:

dmesg

Yes, network works.

I don’t think it’s related. As far as I read there it’s a problem with detecting the DVB receivers (USB). I cannot reach tvheadend web interface.

I think that there is some kind of failure in the installation of the DVB drivers. I can’t use the crazycat drivers on my Mecool KIII Pro (S912) (the system stops recognizing the internal tuner and the tvheadend server stops responding to the web service on port 9981). In my X96 Air (S905X3) I cannot use the latest kernel drivers because afterwards it is impossible to turn off the device (the system also stops recognizing the external USB tuner and the tvheadend server stops responding to the web service on port 9981).

So my Mecool KIII Pro (S912) works only with the latest kernel drivers and my X96 Air (S905X3) works only with crazycat drivers.

There is no explanation for the tvheadend server to stop responding to the web service on port 9981.

We got the same behaviour: web interface was not available. We (I and another user) got this by using the Hauppauge DUAL DVB usb tuner.
Please, send the log to Vascobraga. The log can help to get a fix.

TVH on 9.2.3 working well with S912 and S905X2 using XBox One tuners.

No issues with 9.2.3 on Vim2 running TVH.

Shoog

Booted 9.2.3 and saved dmesg. Seems to be a problem with one or both USB DVB-T adapter(s). Kernel oops at 13.646187.
Would like to upload the file here but don’t know how.
Therefore I created a pastebin with an excerpt around the oops:
https://pastebin.com/kgrEhRsJ

EDIT: Tried to disable crazy cat drivers or drivers from latest kernel. No success.
lsusb reports the DVB-T adapters as:
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 2040:0265 Hauppauge
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0572:c688 Conexant Systems (Rockwell), Inc. Geniatech T230 DVB-T2 TV Stick

Hauppauge is a dual DVB-T2 stick.

Can you try to disable meson-ir and use amremote just for testing.

Hmm, I am using no direct IR remote, just using CEC. How do I disable meson-ir?

touch /storage/.config/remote.disable

Thank you, but no success.
Part of dmesg after disabling meson-ir: https://pastebin.com/cxszNjtt

Can you please post full dmesg. Thanks

Sure. How can I do it? Cut and past to pastebin is possibly not the best way. And I don’t see an upload option in this forum.

dmesg|paste

It will output an url. Post it here.

That’s easy. URL: http://ix.io/2pbC
