Dolby Vision for Minix U22X-J (Max) and Ugoos AM6+

Could you tag the download link here? I couldn’t find any 20240314 nightly version under the nightly section.

also, does anyone know why I’m getting a green-screen for any DV media? Was it discussed anywere or I’m just alone on this boat?

Because today is 20240313?

:grinning:

aahhh, I know what did you mean now :grinning: sorry! :joy:

I don’t know what was fixed but it was fixed in Amlogic-ng not Amlogic-ng-dv.

What is the difference between Amlogic-ng and Amlogic-ng-dv? Sorry, I know this must be a basic question. I found this, but it wasn’t clear still: Amlogic-ng and Dolby Vision

CE-NG-DV = CE with 32bit kernel version 4.9
CE-NG = CE with 64bit kernel version 4.9

CE-NG-DV was created because there was no known 64bit DV driver for the AM6+/U22XJ 10months ago. Now there is a 64bit driver, and a special 32bit branch no longer needs to be maintained. The same DV code from CE-NG-DV is also in CE-NG.

thx, the origin bdiso is fel, I’ll check the remux later
also ask, does the 21-ng-rc1 have the cm4.0?

upgraded this morning and I still get a green screen when trying to playback any DV material.
The very same result with 20.5 nightly build as well.

Post your edid

https://wiki.coreelec.org/coreelec:ce_support

my setup is like this:

U22-XJ → Denon AVC-X3800H → LG OLED G16LA

  1. Convert Dolby Vision for compatibility set to Lossless under Settings/player/Video
  2. Ues Player Led disabled under Settings/System/CoreELEC
  3. TV is set to Cinema mode as the display.

Do you know how I can do a EDID dump on CE?

dmesg:

Thank you for explaining!

Am I correct in understanding that @cpm’s fix will be ported to CE-NG, eventually be part of CE-NE, and even CE-NO going forward?

if that helps…

Enable in kodi settings the debug and component logging ‘video’ and video/audio timing. Then play only on DV file where you have the issue.

Then post kodi.log: cat /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log | paste

Did you try to connect the device directly to TV? Without AVR?
DOVI configuration record: version: 1.0, profile: 4, level: 6, rpu flag: 1, el flag: 1, bl flag: 1, compatibility id: 0
It’s DV P4. Can you share the sample? Or at least a cut of it?

This is the sample that I played:

this one is also doing Green screen:

Very difficult to attach to TV directly now as LG G-series is flush-mount on the wall and all the ports are at the back. Need to take the TV out of the wall. :slightly_frowning_face:

I think TS files are like DV ISO, not supported.
