Hmm, not sure what happened there. Here’s a new link:

Really odd. Maybe these are one time links and I already tried. Here it is again, I didn’t try it this time:

Maybe a silly suggestion but will it benefit from a cooling mod that can provide that extra grunt if possible
you mean me? no I don’t think so but I have no clue. most dv movies I’ve checked are running fine.
I press play and TV switches to dv mode.
there should be no decoding in any way not on my nas (no gpu synology 1821+) nor on the amb6+?
I’ve realized 2 things
-
it’s not the file size, I played another dv mkv with 80 gig, so no caching or network topic…
-
it seems there’s a psg sub set as standard and if I remember correctly that is always causing problems? but I cannot deactivate before I play the movie?
Just a comeback on this and in case someone else ever have the same problem. It turns out there was a conflict between my 10gbps network and the Ugoos so I bought a cheap 15$ gigabit switch just for that.
1- Connected to the ISP 10gbps router = stuck at 100mbps
2- Connected to the 8-port 10gbps switch 1 = stuck at 100mbps
3- Connected to the 2-port 10gbps switch 2 = stuck at 100mbps
4- Connected to the 6-port gigabit switch 3 = finally 1000mbps connection.
I regularly use, on all my Android devices, Wolf Launcher 0.1.9 It works perfect on AM6B+.
Maybe try adding this to autostart.sh to force it to negotiate at 1000/full on your 10gb switches:
ethtool -s eth0 autoneg off speed 1000 duplex full
With which app/program did you get this video info?
Looks like its falling back to HDR in AV1, though the AV1 test file I’m using had FEL injected which isn’t part of spec for Dolby in AV1 (non-existent DV profile).
Still, 4k HDR in AV1 with software decoding doesn’t seem too out of reach now (with proper encode parameters). A bit of efficiency improvement with decoding and/or perhaps a CPU overclock (if this is even possible?) it might just be feasible.
via emby android client the movie is on my emby server
I’m not really understanding a word here but why should play hdr? my tv is dv capable all other dv movies are playing fine in dv mode… thanks
This was in regards to software decoding for DV in AV1 that “TheCoolest” asked about. unrelated to your issue haha.
AV1 support would be a dream. That‘s the only thing keeping the Am6 from beeing the perfect device…
Use S905X4, it does include AV1 hardware decoder.
I don’t think DV media with AV1 codec does exist yet.
AV1 DV files exist, just not ones with the enhancement layer as they’re technically incorrect.
I’ve used DV on AV1 in my own encodes, seems to work fine on the Homatics with Kodi even though they are profile 10.
AV1 on s928x with CE would be a dream
Is there any official AV1 usage on any of the streaming services?
